Sabotage?

Recommended Posts

Recently i was talking about how genralismos are always multing. I talk about it in the main tanki chat and i meet a guy that really dosent understand what sabotage is.

I was in a round where 3 genralismos had like 1 or 0 kills this is definetly sabotage because going afk can cripple the team alot especially when 3 people are filling up the slots so other people cannot join. Tanki really needs more protection against sabotage, mults and multiaccounts because i have never had a mod show up in any of my games since i started playing tanki and that is a big let down for me.

I also have a screenshot of someone telling me that TO will do nothing to mults/sabotage which is kind of creepy and disturbing to even see especially from a higher rank player.

They've never done anything against Mults and "Sabotagers" before anything. They've always been lazy - all mods in VLOGs do is talk, but they never do the walk. Quite a shame actually.

Most Generalissimos mult in battles cause they just have nothing to do. So they either mult for:

1) Boredomness

2) Daily missions (multing and only waiting for gold, did you know gold hunters do this 24/7?)

3) To help a friend in the other team win, but crippling the team they are on.

Yeah, they set out all these rules, which are like strict as hell. But do they enforce them? No. Tons and tons of people have used the /vote option, but does a mod respond? Even if more than 50% of the players in the game have voted as well? Nope. Not a single mod shows up.

So don't be surprised when high ranks like that guy and long time players say the same thing - it's no longer a surprise for them.

Cheers

applications_tanki is right - there is a difference between "sabotage" and "inactivity". Sabotage is about actual actions in battle that interfere and obstruct teammates or otherwise help the enemy team. Inactivity is simply when the player is taking up a slot but not participating in the battle. The game allows a five minute pause inside a battle, therefore using those five minutes is not a violation of the rules.

Yes, I know that it's completely absurd to allow someone to do nothing for a third of the match time (assuming it's the usual 15 minute battle), but that's what it is at the moment. This is why evidence of sabotage and inactivity reports for the violators section on the forum must be longer than five minutes - to ensure that the player is actually taking up a slot and not playing on purpose and not simply using the allowed pause time.

I'm not talking about that either. This is about individual players, who have nothing to do with the enemy team - they are not friends, or their alternate accounts. This is about players going AFK in a battle, which, like I said, is not considered sabotage as long as the player only uses their allowed 5 minute pause time and then continues playing.

Also I would like to correct myself here:

there is a difference between "sabotage" and "inactivity".

"Sabotage" and "inactivity" are not completely separate violations. Sabotage is one big category for this type of violation, while inactivity is just one of the subtypes, the others being intentional use of weak equipment, pushing/obstructing, not capturing the flag and similar...
