Cricketers' Corner

DRS isn't cheating.

Umpires can be wrong (as exemplified above) and if the batsman doesn't believe it is out, he has the right to challenge that decision.

As for the video above, I wouldn't call it cheating but just a misunderstanding of what happened. That first example was a very close call and anything that close it worth an appeal tbh.

It is clearly written in rules that Batsman cannot take help from dressing room for using DRS.

I was in no mood to start this topic again. I was saying HPCA' s pitch was perfect pitch for test match.

Not once did I state that doing that was legal.....

All I'm saying is that DRS is legal and can and should be used in matches.

So u r comparing umpires wrong decisions with so called "Brain Fade" of Smith?

The keeper went up for it ...

Going up for a wrong decision is cheating. Keeper's can tell when a ball bounces and I have no doubt in my mind that Dhoni knew that was grounded.

Australia never complained ... did they?

Also, you did start this topic by calling other countries cheats and Indians "gentlemen."

As a keeper, catches like that happen so fast that you are never sure. You kinda just dive and the ball ends up in your hands. I think it was a reasonable appeal, but the umpire just failed to see that it bounced.

If there is doubt, you morally shouldn't appeal or ask for it to be referred. Since you don't have that luxury it's acceptable but when you have replays, can't you use it? Or did that fall under the "no DRS" policy?

It was umpires fault that he had not asked third umpire for replays not Dhoni's fault.

Players can ask for reviews too ... this is basic knowledge. Why are you intentionally blocking off any negativity coming India's way? Cricket isn't about winning "respectively." It never was. Within the first few years of cricket Bodyline was introduced. Cricket was never actually ever a "Gentleman's game."

All this crap about cricket being a 'gentleman's game'. Well it's not. It's a professional sport, not lawn bowls on a sunday afternoon after tea and biscuits. International teams play to win and India plays as hard as any other country in the world (yes, even australia). So sick of all this whining and 'your country doesn't play fair' crap. Seriously. Just grow up.

You know, Cricketers' Corner was very mild before you guys came. Everyone was nice to each other but once you two came and started getting all sensitive about India, this topic went downhill. Please stop constantly whining and trying to be provocative, you can tell that no one even likes it.

Btw, stop going on about Smith. He didn't even end up reviewing the decision, so it didn't even affect the game at all. Stop finding petty things to pick at.

You posted something about Australia and I twisted back at you and somehow I'm the bad guy? Grow up

You are the one that gets annoyed at the slightest thing against India, regardless of whether it was a joke or not. Learn to poke fun at your country. Honestly, someone who can laugh at jokes about their country, sports team, friends and themselves are generally some of the coolest people to hang around.

Poking fun at australia's cricket team, honestly, doesn't bother me, nor should it. Trying to take away their integrity as people, however, is absolute rubbish that shouldn't be tolerated in this forum. This is a cricket chat. Keep all that jealous crap to yourself or start some new forum. Just don't involve us in it and stop spamming this forum with your unnecessarily provocative stupidity.

Completely agree with the previous two replies. Absolutely spot on. Learn to be humble. You can't expect us not to get angry when you start to personally attack players from a team. Not once have we attacked personal values of a player.

Jeez learn to let go of your pride. I am astonished that you guys keep picking faults at us instead of acknowledging that you did wrong. If Smith made a mistake and genuinely apologised, then why are you dissing him? Why do you personally hate him though you've never met him?

Even Smith knows, he did wrong and said sorry.

So you guys should now stop defending him.

 are you alright mate? let it go. We're all very sorry on behalf of Steve Smith if his actions so deeply offended you. But STOP WHINING AND LET IT GO :o
