In-game icon for clan leader

I disagree on a limit of 1 clan in a battle. Probably having 1 clan on 2 teams could be prohibited (smells like sabotage right?) but not on 1 team. After all, the main aim of a clan is to fight together.

There are many that send their clan members that do the dirty work for them in battles. Maybe it could be extended to their alliances too. Everyone should stick together and with this, backstabbers/mults/saboteurs can be reduced significantly.

They do, but also outside such battles they want to play together. What you suggested makes clans disappear. If I played together with 4 friends and we all decided to join the same clan you'd make it impossible for them to play together anymore. Then I'd rather not be a in a clan.

Yeah, my idea is not great either. I'd prefer to not have such restrictions, but in case we needed such a thing..

It is the very playing together of CLAN members against ordinary single players that caused so much problem in Tanki.  We see CLAN take over of games.  Games that have been deliberatly set up to lure ordinary players into games particularly the longer games, the the Clan substitutes, takes over, crushing the single players who then, dejected, start to leave, making the situation worse.  Only the most determined hand on against the CLAN which further boost each clan members crystal income.  We all have seen planted MULTS who further ruin the chances of any opposition to the CLAN.  The CLAN raiding parties then go on to win with phenominally high scores at everyone elses expence.  They tend to be better equipped, are all supplied/drugged and very organised.  How can a ramshackle team made up of ordinary players that are untrained, are disorganised, have no common level of equipment possibly compete.  The CLAN also will have far superior level of communications.  The result is a turkey shoot, a slaughter.

I don't think so. It has proven not to be so easy to create a clan. You must have a certain amount of members and the page must look good enough. "Creating a clan for the badge" won't be so easy, considering inactive clans are closed as well.

you got a real point

There is no possible way to prevent this. I would even encourage people to play together. It's very smart.

It's not only smart it is also very natural. You can see that in history. Why did cavemen live together in tribes? Alone they are vulnerable. Imagine a caveman trying to kill a mammoth (a real one, not the tank). He'll fail alone, the mammoth is too big. Imagine 5 random cavemen joining him, there's a lot of miscommunication and the goal may be reached, but it is a risk and there's probably 1 caveman killed.

Now imagine a tribe of cavemen who trained together and know exactly what to do in order to kill the mammoth. They're gonna capture that beast easily.

What you want is going against human nature and you will not stop it. Teaming up is a part of survival, humans main goal. But after all this is a tankgame which includes fighting. Anybody is free to make friends, train together and become better together. Obviously within the rules, so multing is absolutely unacceptable..

So I don't agree with what you said there, people should be free to gang up and win battles together.

I do not know about you but I am not a cave man.  The analogies that I might choose to use would be Organised Gangsters, Syndicate or just the word CLAN has it connotations in the modern world.

That was just an example. Are you going to bring a real argument or will you leave it with this?

Hi,

I suggest that clan members should be better identified in battle by their clan initials so that people know that a clan battle is taking place (and a warning to non-clan/single players to stay out of clan wars.) This even might help to identify raiding parties better.

An Example below:

If you like, maybe we can add the clan symbol too.

It could even show up in chat with clan members having those 3 clan initals too.

I was inspired by @ELIZABETH1122's comment:

Thank you for reading as always.

EEEEEE [MAD] is my clan abbreviation but none of those guys are in my clan..

No!!!!

Many clans are just plain topics.... why should they get an icon when a super pro player in a good pro clan doesnt?

Being co leader is so much easier than being a member of a pro clan.

Clans should be incorporated into the game. For example i'm in clan Madness [MAD]. So my nickname would be [MAD] DestroyerPdox

(shameless topic bumping)

This is almost completed, although not in the sense that OP intended. Yes, we do get clan tags in front of our names, but this is only related to in-game clans and not ones existing only on the forum. Forum clans will most likely never have anything to do with in-game clans, but this idea is still valid, since I think it would be useful to somehow highlight the clan leader other than by having his clan rank be Supreme Commander in the clan's profile.

That moment when this is implemented 100% as you suggested.

Isn't it a bit useless?

The enough acknowledgement which says you are in a clan is the clan's acronym next to your name. If you are the clan's "leader"... Why would it make you more special than the other clanmates?

Because

a) You are the clan founder and you were the one to pay for the clan licence, and

b ) You are the first person people should come to regarding matters about your clan.

It's okay, the clan's leader has a bit more of importance. However, it wouldn't be the most suitable way to acknowledge him.

I think we clan leaders only should have a little icon beside our rank or name to show that we own a clan.

Yea, This is What I Need In The Game, Because It Will Represent Your Identity That You Leader of A Clan!!
