I really don't like this cause those players who i had blocked and his friends have changed there names and now i can't block them ..for some i have figured out the names but others not..

so my issues are now going to continue ..

We've just made a major change to the way Tanki Online chats function — messages addressed to specific players have become private. This means they will only be visible to 2 people — the person sending the message, and the person receiving it.

 

The awesome news is that you don’t even need to be on the same server to exchange private messages as the system works across the entire cluster. The only requirement is that you and the person you are talking to are both online.

 

By default, you can send a private message to any tanker in the game. For those who don’t want to be bothered by players they don’t know, settings include the option to only allow private messages from players on your friends list. Of course, you can add any tanker to your blacklist.

 

We sincerely hope this feature will make chats a better place, with private messages becoming truly private, and public chats consisting primarily of information relevant to the majority of tankers.

 

Log into the game and check out the new private message feature right now!

Good day Tankers, 

Just stopping by to see what The Devs of this game are up to these days and see if anyone noticed that I have left this game.

I guess all things must come to an end sometime, and Tanki is no different as it moves into end of life "abandonware" mode/

It was a joyful 3 years and had fun with a lot of great people, players and Tanki staff. 

The success of this game was the community, and its a shame to see it in this state in such a short time. 

I've seen a few Videos on the new Tanki X and from my stand point its just a repackaging an old product with a few minor graphic tweaks and copied interface updates, I was really hoping for some creative vision and artistic inspiration.

I wouldn't be so upset with the update if it had some moderation. As it is, you can't receive a ban for breaking any rules in a Private Message, even if you report them on the forum.

 

Look, I know mods should respect our privacy, but in private messages, I'd still like to have them watching over me.

 

And of course, Tanki devs don't listen to the players, because... y'know, why should they? It's not like the players have anything to say at all about the update that drastically changed the chat for everyone...

not safe any more for younger players who need to be protected from anyone and giving them bad idea's ..tanki can be held legally accountable ( i think .. but need to speak to a lawyer on this issue ) if any bad things happen to these players...you really need to look into your legal ramification on what you are accountable for now a days...this is not just in Germany but all over the world ..people are suing company's left right and center on every little thing now..someone needs to change this back to make this a safe and protected gaming site for younger players

• Privacy and Cookies Policy

By accepting the above documents (At registration, you selected "I Agree"), you accepted all what comes into them and accepted all the changes applied to the Game itself, anytime.

 

 

If you did not agree with these documents you had no legal right to register and use the Game at all and, in case you no longer agree with these documents you are obliged to leave the Game immediatly.

This is a safe and protected gaming site for younger players, but just a reminder: users below the age of 14 / 16 should not be playing here unless their parents gave them the authorization to do so — Tanki Online cannot be held legally if users below 14 / 16 are playing nor if players are damaged by other users, the only thing that can be done by Tanki Online is to ban / block those violators.

 

Administrators and Moderators' job is to try to protect every users from violators, we are the ones trying to prevent the issues you mentioned.

Tanki has themselfes for sure well protected.

 

But younger kids do now lack guarian angelsmoderators at their side.

Thats.. not so..  usefull.. and it endagers those players.

 

Have you ever thought of the finacial impact it would have, if a single child gets abused - and it was lured into that via the Tanki proivate message system? What if it then turns out that there have been many complaints or reports (very likely!!) about the abuser in Tanki online.. but because of Tankis new policy they did no ban him in time?

 

Imagine if this reaches public media !

 

 

It's still parents, that allow kids to play online games.. and usually parents are pretty cautious if media picks up such stories.

 

So despite of legal aspects.. I think accepting private messages and getting rid of crazy freaks (banning them) is in Tankis ow most vital interrest.

not all parents watch what a child does in games over the age of 12 in Canada a child has rights and most choose not to have parents consent   to them what games they can play..

also not everyone reads the license..they agree to it yea

 

 

now for mods protecting my rights well they just proved it in  a chat violation i posted last night when a player was insulting me with swearing on another account of mine and this is not the first time i have been insulted and not once has any mod or admin come to my defense ..regardless how old i'am ...

 

and tanki can't stop younger players from playing due to ages there are so many here that don't get parent consent ..and for the chat issue this is what i was mainly referring too..there are lots of players just like in society they slip threw the cracks and never get caught..for example doing a police check in Canada its only good when you are at a police station once you leave its null and void also a police check will only tell u if you were caught and convicted of a crime not the ones which have never been caught..so there are so many unknown people out there that anything can happen and with tanki with not protecting private chat this opens up a can of worms ..

Every tanker should accept that before creating a account in TO. However, some of them didn't even read a word and they accept it just to try out the game as fast as possible, and they are lazy to read.
