What a waste....

These gifts seemed pointless back at Christmas time and now they have even added one that is over 100k. It does nothing except give you a different picture for a different price and allows for players to brag. Smart thinking on tanki's behalf, but really pointless if you think about it. I kind of miss the downvote button sometimes...

This update is fine but it may also have some bad affects, with this update you may want to insult, exchange accounts, etc... 

 

I have a question: What if a tanker is using this private messaging system to insult the receiver for example, can we report him/her?

Tomorrow, January 28, we’ll be making a major change to the way Tanki Online chats function — messages addressed to specific players will become private. This means they will only be visible to 2 people — the person sending the message, and the person receiving it.

 

The awesome news is that you won’t even need to be on the same server to exchange private messages as the system will work across the entire cluster. The only requirement is that you and the person you are talking to are both online.

 

By default, you will be able to send a private message to any tanker in the game. For those who don’t want to be bothered by players they don’t know, settings will include the option to only allow private messages from players on your friends list. Of course, you will also be able to add any tanker to your blacklist.

 

We sincerely hope this feature will make chats a better place, with private messages becoming truly private, and public chats consisting primarily of information relevant to the majority of tankers.

 

Log into the game tomorrow to check out the new private message feature!

I agree with this bit, I often hop into other people's conversations, and sometimes it's fun to have conversations in public. But it can also get pretty messy. I just hope that people don't overuse the private messaging system and that server chats continue to be lively and banter-filled.
