Private Messages in Chats

Proposal:

 

blackWasp777: Message visible to all, highlighted as it was before the update. Cross-Server if possible.

blackWasp777:: real private message (like after the update), visible only to the adressed player

This is a totally bad idea.

 

Chat is like dead now and it's hard to have a multi-player conversation...

I have a solution however.

 

Change all messages back to normal. Keep the cross-server chat.

To send a private message, just add "@" before the nickname of player.
Add an option of "Send Private Message" in the menu when you click a player's nickname.

 

So to send a private message, it'll be as simple as this:
@Captin_XLAB: How a private message will be.

 

To make it even better, instead of bright green, change the colour of private messages to something like red/cyan.... Would make the perfect update.

 

For a Shortcut, make it Shift+Click on a player's nickname.

(Or any other easy shortcut of sending a private message)

We should have the option of sending it private or public. Sometimes it makes sense for other players to be able to read a comment made to somebody else. How can we help players?  I may want to answer a players question BUT still want everyone else to see the answer AND others may want to see it as well and learn from the answer.

This update is horrible, please take it out as it creates a anti-social mood in tanki, it is very boring and meeting new people to talk to and other things become impossible. Tanki is becoming less and less fun. Yes i do realise you want to kill Tanki so that you can get more people to play tanki x but the reality is that people have worked hard for their accounts and your just making money of them. keep on Going Tanki team because you are really killing it and killing the game !!!! *applauds at the efforts of killing Tanki*

are u crazy?! Finally random strangers cannot interrupt a conversation with my friend for the heck of trolling. I remember earlier when I wanted to talk to a friend in private we had to create a Battle. Moreover if ur friend was lagging, an empty server was the only option and hoped for no stalkers following us around which they did all the time -_- . this is the best chat update EVER!!!

If we really wanted privacy, we could've easily headed to one of the other servers that don't have players on them to talk. This isn't an "update", Tanki is taking stuff away from us, not giving us new stuff.

I think this is the perfect solution for our problem.

Both private and open messages will exist, cross-server chat will also exist.

 

Don't focus on disliking, focus on solving the problem. :)

(i dont think dislikes matter to them anymore)

 

If anyone thinks this idea can be better improved, pls tell so.
 

I hope, JUST FOR THIS ONE TIME, developers understand our problem and take actions accordingly...
