XP players rant, again

Introduction, this is gonna be a looooooong rant

Okay, so let's assume you all know where I come from here: XP/BP players in normal battles boasting and calling everyone "noobs" because they use Vulcan, or Twins, or whatever their precious combo is weak against.

The reason your precious combo is gunned down by my Vulcan so easily, and this'll shock ya, is because it's effective against Hornets and Wasps.

Y'see, around ninety percent of these guys are either complaining about battles being non-XP, or creating normal deathmatches where "everyone has to use Hornet-Railgun, because I created it".

To which I always respond with "If you can't handle the regular battles, go hide behind your PRO battle pass again.".

 

Now, here's the usual counter-argument: "No, you leave noob."

So, because I use Viking-Vulcan, which is completely fine, and join a deathmatch for a mission that YOU knowingly created without a PRO pass, I'm the noob for playing the game like it's supposed to be played?

 

And so one time I just talked with him, and said "You know, it's not against the rules for me to be here, if you wanted an XP battle you should have bought the PRO battle pass."

 

While I can't say this applies to all of them, this was his response:

"I can't afford it, I don't make enough crystals in battles."

 

So if this DOES apply to all of them, and I am by no means saying it does, they don't make enough crystals in battles to support their own playstyle.

 

Now let's say, for instance, I am somehow able to join an XP battle with a Hornet-Firebird combo.

One of two things would happen; I would either dominate or be targeted, but one thing for sure will happen...

The balance would tip to one side, and either they all get extra kills or I dominate the match.

 

Now onto my point before I loose you: All combos have their place.

Hornet-Railgun might do GREAT against other Hornet-Railguns, but against a Vulcan that can fire infinitely and make them do somersaults in the air, it starts to loose it's edge.

A rapier vs a Zweihänder would be pretty one-sided, the rapier would be smashed by the bulk of the Zweihänder.

 

And now on the topic of them insulting regular players.

 

Just don't. We're not better or worse than you. And from the way you praise the oh so precious combo you use: You make me think this.

When you return home from kindergarten, you just open your garage and stare dumbfoundedly at it.

You don't try anything else, you just want the one the big kids use.

 

In conclusion, Hornet-Railgun has it's places, but my line of fire isn't one of them.

 

Afterthought

If you ARE a XP player, but for some reason didn't understand this applies to the small minority discussed in this rant, please keep in mind this is a rant.

It's me yelling, it doesn't require you to even listen.

This is something that happens as lower ranks, but not really at high ranks. At high ranks, people will use XP in games, but are skilled and it works just fine and they don't complain. I use XP at lower ranks, and in normal battles (I don't bother with pro pass XP games) and its also fine, partly thinks to my large amount of experience. So it does belong, but I agree, the complaining doesn't.

And they complain about people like me, who have yet to fully master driving (I am close though, just have the occasional blunder), being unskilled.

All I'm saying is maybe try something else when you're not dueling, because your effectiveness against other tanks can be minimal to nonexistent.

A slot on a CP game that could be filled with an Isida instead goes to a guy with Hornet-Railgun, who complains that everyone has Mammoths and therefore are unskilled. That actually happened once when I was at Warrant Officer Four playing a game of Island CP.

Pffft. I just ignore them. I mean, pepole who have a cry about Someone not joining a battle with XP/BP are fools. But it is funny to join there battles and when they say "XP/BP only" instantly change to Mammy vulcan (Or your respective big hull/turret combo) and get some free experience. And then when they leave, follow them everywhere. Such fun!  :D

Well, at lower rank battles this is quite common to see. Those who use/very much like XP wish to play XP-combo battles, but due to their rank being too low for creating a XP format battle, they have no choice but to create a battle and hope for others to follow along and play a XP - formatted battle.. or "unofficial XP battle".

 

Most lower ranks aren't aware of XP battles as such format doesn't go around their mind at such rank due to insufficient permissions(disability to create format-battles for one), and so 'violate' XP battle rules by using other combos.

 

At higher ranks, as Lhamster has said, XP is very common and no one bothers to force others to use XP only in a default battle.

Understandable, I'd just like more competent teammates.

Considering I play mostly Noise, I'd like to have at least an Isida or another Vulcan so we can cover both angles.

They might get lucky at times and get away while the enemy team is busy with something else, but that fills their heads with the idea that they're invincible.

Hmm, you have explained pretty well. But as you say that more than 90% of those XP-BP players are runts, actually their not. Once you start becoming a higher ranker less stupid tankers would appear. :)

Thanks for summing it up. Believe a lot of people would tl;dr
