This response perfectly proves my point, you are attempting to bring my real-life character into this nonsense. This is a game, my real life is irrelevant. I used to play this space RPG where people were so into the game, they would say that I was an evil person in real life for shooting their ships down in the game, you are behaving just like them.

 

 

Also, this thread is wrong on both counts, not only is this thread taking what actually happened and blowing it out of proportion, the newspaper reporters are trying to claim ownership of ideas, as opposed to word-for-word text, which under US copyright law(since we apparently are bringing real life into this nonsense), is not supposed to be possible. I seriously doubt these reporters are even the first to come up with a "caption contest", which, for all intents and purposes, is just a meme making contest, which I'm sure has been done before.

This is the precise reason the internet is currently burning the Fine Brothers at the stake right now, they took ideas that weren't even completely original, and tried to "own" them, and not allow others to use them, which is precisely what the reporters are attempting to do right now.

 

I could make my own captioning contest right now, and if you took me to court, first off, you would be laughed out the building for bringing up such a dumb case, and secondly, your arguments would hold zero credibility.

As for the actual discussion, I believe that it could be closed now. The reporters and writers have both made their points, and nothing more needs to be said. I don't understand why people keep on commenting when everybody has the same opinion. We all agree that plagiarism is bad, and Darren has made it clear that there won't be anymore as long as he's in charge. Most of the posts here are pretty much repeating the same thing  :). Imo, this topic is useless, unless someone comes up with something else to say.

The quality of your comments are so low. Are you not aware about the plagiarism done by TWG? 

Enough with the plagiarism dig already. The only articles that you can say were fully plagiarized were Hero_no1_unbeatable's "guides," and he wasn't even a member of the TWG. The potato and banana topics were just stupid, but not worthy to be called plagiarized. 

 

 

You know, one plus of this topic is that I'll never forget how to spell plagiarism  :P.

Forum Moderators are not involved in this issue at all, the only thing we are pushing for is that this problem is dealt here, in the appropriate place and with the ones involved, nowhere else.

You had no choice at start — issues with Helpers are to be dealt with Admins and issues with Admins are to be dealt with Community Managers.

If you will not listen to my advices and decide pick up fights and similar things outside from this topic, we will take counter-actions accordingly to your violations.

 

This is the only place to discuss this matter apart for the official TWG topic — you can re-open it anytime and discuss there too, but any new topic made regarding this will be closed and taken care of.

Not all of us have. You'll notice that a lot of TWG seem to have stopped posting here, and the ones that are posting here don't really care about it anymore. They just want the topic hidden and closed. 

 

And btw, it's more the reporters than the mods.
