What Contra said it opposite to what happens with me. When I play on MY pathetic laptop, disabling skybox increases FPS by about 15-25.

Normally I have 60 FPS.

For me, not much really. The only things that affect my FPS are (in order of most effect to least effect): Dynamic Shadows, Dynamic Lightning, and Fog.

It barely makes a difference in PC's as they are much faster and more powerful.

 

On laptops, some it makes no difference at all while others its the difference of playing or not.
