the story goes if a ground hog see's his shadow we get 6 more weeks of winter

 

and if he do's not see's it then spring arrives early ....

 

 

 

so what is your predictions will he or won't he that is the Question..????

 

 

Groundhog Day is a traditional holiday celebrated on February 2. According to folklore, if it is cloudy when a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day, then spring will come early; if it is sunny, ...then 6 more weeks of winter

It has been warm lately, as I got 3 feet (3/4 meters) of snow, and now it is 60* Farenheit (15.5* Celcius). I sadly don't think there will be any more winter, at least for my area.

From Canada ..

 

Ontario’s Wiarton Willie issued his long-term forecast later today as his community celebrates the albino woodchuck’s 60th anniversary.

“Well, for those hoping for 6 more weeks of winter… you’ve got your wish. I saw my shadow,” the groundhog declared on his official Twitter account.

 

Nova Scotia’s Shubenacadie Sam didn’t see his shadow this morning as he scurried from his tiny shed at a provincial wildlife park northeast of Halifax.
