ContestMods in the EN community

I'm a DE ContestMod. Why does this staff position exist in DE but not in EN? EN is much bigger than DE, but DE has more positions, rights etc .. 

So DE got ContestMods and RU also. Two communities of the main three.

Implementing ContestMods in EN wouldn't be a mistake and it can't hurt the community. No, it would even support and improve the community. 

Even the german community isn't really big, we make active contests where everyone can win crys. So, if we get many entries and active participants, EN would get even more. 

I think it's worth thinking about it to make both communities equal.

It's about becoming official. There are surely many out there, who would be interested in this staff position. 

Not talking about myself. Was just planning to show that this community is a little bit disadvantaged ;)

I guess that eSports moderators already organize events, but a separate position for Contest moderators would be a great idea!

The contest moderators see your submissions for "Video of the Week" and check whether they comply with the rules or not.

They help in official events and answer your questions about the event. They also gather ideas for new

contests and discuss these with the community managers.

We have the same and those are different to the contests we make. 

 

Facebook for example just makes events which are short

The EN community surely lacks a lot of Creative and parkour contests :D 

However not many contest organizers are willing to giveaway their crystals... and the administration is rather inactive to support the players and promote such contests

This was suggested two years ago, and since then, nothing has really happened. 

I am not really in favor or against it- I feel like the Newspaper and Facebook already come up with plenty of contests, so a special staff position might not be necessary.

Probably. But what speaks against it? I think many would be interested in more contests :D that's at least what I've heard

We don't have "Event Helpers", here, in the English community. Facebook Moderators are responsible for everything on the FB page; All events are organized by them too. ^_^

I don't know much about the contest modes in the DE community, but if contest mods are people who control/event the contests, I'd say we don't have them because we don't have many contests. Even if we did, it's either controlled by Issho, or the reporters (if the contest is in the newspaper).

We organize many different contests. Related to parkour, designing and other stuff. Many English players already participated in the german community, ofc we accepted them, but this is one more sign which shows the interest

I am in favor of this idea. And I've seen that in DE community the contests hold on daily bases. One day a facebook event and the other day is forum contest.
