ContestMods in the EN community

Recommended Posts

I am in favor of this idea. And I've seen that in DE community the contests hold on daily bases. One day a facebook event and the other day is forum contest.

German facebook events are organized by a special group of people, leaded by eSports moderators. In English community facebook events are organized by facebook moderators. Contest Moderator possition would have nothing to do with this. Contest Moderators are there to create special contests that anyone can take part in. That contests are simmilar to the official ones made by tanki office (Masters of Parkour, 15 seconds to the New Year etc.), not like the facebook events you were talking about.

I didn't know that, thanks for clarifying.

I'm a DE ContestMod. Why does this staff position exist in DE but not in EN? EN is much bigger than DE, but DE has more positions, rights etc ..

So DE got ContestMods and RU also. Two communities of the main three.

Implementing ContestMods in EN wouldn't be a mistake and it can't hurt the community. No, it would even support and improve the community.

Even the german community isn't really big, we make active contests where everyone can win crys. So, if we get many entries and active participants, EN would get even more.

I think it's worth thinking about it to make both communities equal.

wow thanks for bringing this up here

Facebook is not needed to take part in the FB events; Even though, it can help as it gives you a notification once we host the event.

Facebook events are way different to what we do )

Mrs.Queen, you are queen of my heart. :P

Joking

Well +++++

I agree to this idea. There was section of contest before in like march, that dejavu contest or something in which Ostrica had won.

Archives.

I don't know the exact reason behind with tanki and their funky stuff but im sure its about the economics, I don't know if the German community have newspaper articles like here cause little contests are run from our newspaper articles. If the German community 'do not' have newspaper articles thingy then you got me ;)

See, the german newspaper also makes puzzles and contests. Our Event Helpers make nearly everyday Events. And still so many take place in our Contests. So it can't be boring at all. Seems like the tankers want more. ;)

Yeah? What about tournaments where clans can play in...

I completely agree with you- eSports absolutely needs to be revamped. But the idea being suggested in this thread has nothing to do with eSports.

Indeed, every day except every second Sunday :)

Mrs.Queen, your suggestion is like a cat chasing a ball, it's never going to happen unless, mods them self's do a contest and provide crystals for the winners, which is very not possible. If tanki cannot give the winners crystals then, they could do it out of their own crystals.

But maybe people can do it without a position anyway, so they can do special events which may hold crystals if tanki led you some of course. (My opinion)

With all due respect, why is German staff member opening topics in EN community, addressing an entirely local subject? As already known, every community is different and organizes itself according to its own interests and needs. It would be impolite and imprudent for any EN community staff member to start telling players and staff of other communities how to conduct themselves, what staff groups they should make and how many contests they should organize. As much as sharing of ideas is fun and invigorating, it's entirely up to players and staff members, as well as administration of each community to come up with ideas and solutions of their own... and EN community players and staff can do it without any doubt :)

In any case thank you for your enthusiasm and best intent, please contact administrators next time you'd like to propose an idea that concerns the whole community. That goes for every EN community player - the administrators of each group are more than interested to hear ideas and opinions from our players, and you can reach all of us via this link. Thanks in advance.

Hi all

Many of you won't know, but a long while back we did effectively have contest moderators in EN.  I even won a few of them actually :p  But as things progressed they became redundant.  Facebook and Newspaper became the main place for contests and non-eSports events.  The forum also had a contest section of which you can still view the archive in Developers section.

Point is contests are well here and present, they are just organised differently in different communities.  In RU its different, and I can tell you in BR its different as well.

As for making more parkour stuff during events, we'll pass on the message to those who do those.  Thanks for your visit in EN.
