The Feeling of Ban

 

The feeling of ban, one of the most feared feelings in all of Tanki, but yet, such a common occurrence, for example, what happened with Lil' boy Rabin.

"Why do you have Flame paint?" Asked Rabin to Ostrica.

 

"Because I'm hot." Ostrica replied.

"-- I'm hot too" Said the forever alone guy in the chat.

Ignoring him, Ostrica and I decided to keep up the fun game. "I'm cool, give me Frost." I said.
There was no reply.
5 seconds passed, 10 seconds, 30 seconds past, and still no reply.

Yet finally "I'm out guys, enjoy playing Tanki!" Ostrica said as she logged off.

I started to get bored, Ostrica happened to be in the RU1 chat, talking to random people, so I decided to talk to her, but now that she left, there was no one really to talk to. So being the bored soul I was, I started a trend in the chat.

"./AddCryOrElseIWillHackYou" I said.
"./AddAdminToFriends Ostrica" Another said.

Before I knew it, the chat was filled with /'s and nonsense like that: "./GoldBox", "./CrystalBoxes", "./Hi". It was a mess, so the mod came to sweep the crumbs off the floor.
"Player (other player that was doing the trend) has been banned for a day. Reason: Provocation -/- Rules."

"Oh no..." Were my last words.
"Player Yisroel.Rabin has been banned for a day. Reason: Provocation -/- Rules."

"." I typed in, but all that came up was "You are disconnected from the chat. You will be on air within 23 hour(s) 59 minute(s). Reason: Provocation, -/- Rules"
"Damn it." I said to myself. "I've only gotten 2 serious bans before, one of which was a mistake. I gotta fix this."
I PMed Shar0n, but who was I kidding, by the time he read it, my ban would be over, and there would be no point in getting it off my history. So, I PMed GhostRider750, a good chat mod friend of mine who happened to be a friend chat mod.
"Please, can you help me bro. I got banned, I don't think I deserve what I got." Is all I said in the main post of the PM.

"I looked at your ban. I highly doubt it would be reduced. If you think you were banned in error send a PM to a chat admin either Ostrica or Shar0n.  Only they can unban players." He replied. Should I tell him I already PMed Shar0n? Nah, no point, he doesn't need to know.

"It's not fair, I'm a clean man, never get banned, fun is all it was. I said a bunch of /___ stuff (like "/addXT Rico", and "/addfriend SemyonKirov"), it didn't annoy anyone besides for the mod, and I really think it should've been a warning. I've never gotten warned or banned for provocation. If it were a warn, I would have stopped on the spot.

Who banned me though?" I complained.

"I wouldn't worry about the ban.  It isn't a big deal to your history. I don't know which mod did the ban." Yea right, that's what you said last tie around to, when I got banned for impersonating Obama and getting banned for discussing poultices, hmf, pathetic.

"I don't want a day ban though..." I said.

"There isn't anything I can do about it.  Sorry.  Like I said only chat admins can unban if a mistake was made.  You can try but I doubt you will be unbaned." He said.

"Forget it. You guys (maybe not you, I really don't know who) should think if the person really / truly deserves a ban, and if he does, how strict of one. Disappointment." I said in anger, and thats where the PM ends, no one replied.

Well, I'm stuck with this ban, now what? I'd usually be chatting with friends, but what do you know, I can't now! So what should I do? I tried reading forum posts, but because of the "must reply" sorta guy I am, I couldn't stand not being able to reply. I guess the ban wasn't the problem, the problem was I had nothing to do.

I played on my alt a bit, but it got boring. I thought of reporting this guy who was swearing his head off, but I decided not to, even though I usually would, what's the point of being that hard-core rule follower if you just broke the rules yourself? I mean, I didn't break the rules, but the mod thought I did.
Anyways, I logged off my alt and tried surfing the internet, but it was only a few minutes before I noticed, I legitimately had nothing to do! It's truly sad being banned, nothing to do, and nothing that you can do about it, except sit there and keep typing and clicking enter, counting down the minutes until the ban is over.

The morrow of this story is not to not get banned, but if you do get banned, have something planned to do beforehand, or else you're done for.

Don't worry bro, I first got banned when I was Lieutenant Colonel, until then I never received a Forum warning point, or a chat ban/warning.

So yeah, I was clean. But then when I got unfair day ban I got really mad on the whole staff, and you know who I am today  :wub:  :wub:  :wub:

How about you contact BOTH admins next time? To insure you get the answer promptly? And yeah, none of us discuss bans publicly, since we value the privacy of players... pm will do fine. In the meantime, you can scroll through the rules to get the feeling why are you exactly banned. 

 

So following that thought, the topic is closed.
