Why you like and hate school/college...

 Share

Recommended Posts

We all hate and like school/college for many reasons. Please post your reasons here... :)

If you have passed from college, you can write your reasons in past tense.

Why I Like school:

1. Friends

2. Breakfast and Lunch

3. Looking at those who I like.

4. Humor

Why I hate school:

1. Sometimes they educate useless stuff. Like, why the hell would a man buy 60 watermelons? (Maths question :P)

2. Bad teachers

3. Sometimes bored

4. Tests which I haven't prepared for

Why I like school:

Culinary Arts

I can play Galaga in between classes

Reading

English class

Why I hate school:

Tedium

Boring

No-hats policy (Like hell I'm taking off my trapper, it's freezing in this class!)

Monotonous teachers

BIOLOGY

Why I preferred Galagan fighter academy:

I learned stuff I'd actually use, like how to fly a gunship, how many shots a fuel cell takes before exploding violently, etc.

I could wear as much headgear as I wanted.

I could carry a blade with me for self-defense.

I was understood, accepted, and had real friends there.

I wasn't called a "filthy pest".

Teachers are really chill, everyone there is your friend, no fake ones :D

Only downside is that some parts of the classes are difficult

Why I like school:

1. It's a great nutshell. Your own little world away from all the harsh realities out there.

2. You don't have to worry about your survival.

3. Everything's straight forward. No politics. No diplomacy.

4. There are people who actually care about you.

Why I hate school:

1. Your academic success depends upon your ability to impress your teacher. I guess, in a way, that's good training for what you have to do in real life, but I don't like it.

2. Much illogical rules.

No, your success is based on being able to retain information on a subject temporarily.

Of the wide database of knowledge I've accumulated, I only remember around twenty percent of it.

Or, as Albert Einstein would say "Education is what remains after a man has forgotten what he had learned in school."

Good teachers

Why I don't like school:

People who ruin class for everyone (everyone know's at least one of them)

History (Most of them are dead anyway)

Bad teachers (...)

That's not the point. The way school education is designed, no one expects you to remember all the nitty-gritty details years after you've left school. Rather, it builds a foundation upon which you can build your path to success. As you go higher and higher, your studies become more focused and more in-depth. For you to decide a field in which you want a career, you have to be introduced to all subjects at a primary level.

1. Sometimes they educate useless stuff. Like, why the hell would a man buy 60 watermelons? (Maths question :P)

Most math questions go like this: If every hat covers 32cm^2, why does my food taste nice?

Answer: Plastic bags and children do not mix because pink is the same                                                                    colour as orange.

A better example: Bob had fifty watermelons due to mental issues, and suddenly some disappeared without any trace! Now Bob has only twenty, how many magically vanished?
