@mod - do not put this in "What to buy what to use" plz

In XP battles, how much of an advantage does XP M3 have over XP M2? I've heard different views on this issue. The specific battles I would like to know are XP/BP Poly CP and XP Sandbox CTF

In xp its all about skills it depends on skills and that's it

Listen up genius. XP is skill, everyone knows that. But I'm talking about the modification difference, M3 vs M2, and how much of an advantage M3 has over M2

Yes but I would like to know if this reload time difference between M2 and M3 actually makes a noticeable difference in battle. On paper, there's a difference, but in practice is where I'm not sure about

Hornet m2 is  slow then hornet m3  railgun m2 has slow reloading speed then railgun m3 if you have m3 then you can be comfortable in battle but if you have m3 hornet and m2 railgun its still good but if its m2 xp then it depends on you

if youre not shur about kid then please dont come post such stupid things and so if the opponent is M2 and he knows the other opponent is M3 Why would he accept the 1vs1 Anyways -.- and if he accepts thats his Own Fault

I'm not talking about 1 v 1. And what I posted wasn't "stupid". What you're saying isn't very related to this topic.

If your really want to know the difference look up the stats on en.tankiwiki.com and it really depends on the skill level of the player

On paper, there's a difference. But I'm hearing different viewpoints about it; some say the small change makes a difference, while others say it really doesn't matter.

Sure it's about skill, but the difference between m2 and 3 is notable, for me the reloading doesn't get in the way that much. Only in 1v1ss really.

What i find irritating with m2 is the turning speed, it makes looking around, and hence having a good vision much harder, also at close range your shots are easyer to dodge, and you have to use your hull for many shots, even when on a flag run.

I have limited experience on m3 rail , but 1 can tell the difference. Reacting is much easyer, you dont have to stop to turn your turret before entering new areas, aiming takes less time, fixing shots is easyer.

m3 is also less predictable, it can do quick turns and shoot faster, and with xp it's all about predictability.

Oh yeah, m3 impact is also quite swell, it flips and messes enemiy aim much more effectively.

Can't really comment on hornet, only had m3s m1s and m0s.

You don't seem to be understanding what some of the accomplished members of our community are saying .There is notable difference between m2 and m3 versions of any equipment.

Definitely, in looks. Reload time (even a difference of 1 second can turn the tides in a game, especially in XP and BP games).

Penetration power of railgun increases in modification, m2 railgun has a penetrating damage power equivalent to 55% whilst the m3 version of the "fear machine" has a penetration power of 76.18%. Notice the difference? That is about 11% increase, approximately. And of course rotational speed of m3 is faster than the m2.

And don't forget the infamous ability of railgun to make its adversary miss his target, increases up with modification.

Hornet m3 is better than its m2 counterpart in terms of speed and maneuverability.

All these facts contribute to the notion that m3 is always better than m2.

With reloading time m2s have a big disadvantage.

XP M3 wrecks M2 XP completely, Period.

Check the reload time, Impact force, Turning speed, Speed and Power on the Wiki.

Plus, if you play XP with M2s at your rank, you will be called a mult and asked to leave.

Lastly, as you're quite close to ranking to Generalissimo, you might wanna consider changing your playstyle to mainly XP, because of M4 druggers etc.

From my experience here's the advantages of rail m3 over m2:

1) When shooting through a tank railgun m3's penetration power does considerably more damage over m2 rail. Suppose you shoot a tank and another tank behind it also gets hit, in most of the cases the other tank is sure 1-shot if you have m3 rail, while with m2 rail it might not be so.

2) Incase your oppoent has m3 rail and you have m2 and you got a comparatively higher ping than your opponent and you both shoot each other at same time, he will hit you first, and for the next reload again that will happen. For high ping people m3 rail is a must.

Hornet m3 vs hornet m2:

1) It can be a second difference during the last flag cap. In certain cases you could've made it with hornet m3.

2) Damaged hornet m3 sometimes can survive a hit from rail m2 when the rail passes through some other tank first, which can be helpful ofcourse.

Hornet m3 rail m2 is a good combo to use, if you have a good ping and you don't mind the penetration difference.
I have been playing XP since major and I do have a ping above 100 so I prefer XP m3, But m2 with good ping and skills manage to get advantage over me.

2 years ago, a player who unfortunately has quit now, could own most "legend" XP players with his m1 hornet m1 railgun. He beat me 7/2, but ya I'm noob :3

Imo it makes little difference, although it is cool to use any paint u want without risk of getting 1 shotted.

He was gissimo btw, and he had no need for XP m2 or m3 cuz pure skill.
