To be clear - scores will not be released until the next issue, when I will name the winners and their scores as well as PMing all other entrants with a score and brief comment.

GoldRock has hereby disqualified me from this contest for posting my answers on the contest topic, instead of reading the rules and PMing them to him. Not that I got enough answers correct to win anything, anyway. What a shame! Edited by GoldRock

You know, I think the alternate price pool thing is a real downer. Just saying. I can guess at why it should be there.

 

I'll try to send in something just to raise the chances.

Yep, entrants have to work hard to get a top prize - although, keep in mind that if you get above the limit (10/12) you automatically receive a crystal prize from the main doubled prize pool, no matter how others have done.

That last question is tough, but mostly because I cannot find a problem with it.

 

When writing it out formally, you get something like A => B, B => C, A or not A, and B is given, therefore C - which is an entirely valid conclusion.

 

I must be missing something... any hints for the last question? :)
