Let me get this straight admins.

I've never been a pessimist about your decisions in the past, but I find this rather unethical and ironic.

First of all, every living being with eyes and a brain can interpret that 'Redpool' and your paint are references towards Deadpool.

Deadpool isn't just a superhero movie, or any other Avengers movie. It's an R rated movie, and borderline it was going to be rated NC-17 from what I've heard.

From creating an 'event' and a lifelong 'paint' in the theme of Deadpool, don't you think you're more promoting the R-rated, kid-inappropriate movie? Perhaps parents have created endless efforts to keep this movie away from children because of its inappropriate language, scenes, and ideas portrayed.  As a former staff member, I think this is incredibly ironic of promoting something as this, even when such inappropriate language (ones from the movie) are intolerable in game chat.

With the internet and the power of web searching, who knows if the kids will stumble on the inappropriate items after being introduced to them through this game? Are YOU, developers, to take responsibility for this?

This paint and event is just incredibly low and selfish of the developers. There is NO GOOD coming from this other than a money grab for Tanki.

I know the movie is inappropriate for children but they aren't telling us to go watch it, are they?

What's wrong with them introducing nice looking paint for those who wanna get a unique paint?

I think they are just trying to relate with the older players of this game and many of them are above 18. I don't know of any kid below the age limit to have watched it in my country yet. I haven't watched it myself tho most of my friends tell me I should and it is nowhere on my to do list.

I don't think kids would even watch a movie like that and the kids who may have watched it would have already seen stuff on the net that is far more inappropriate than this movie.

Ok, you got a point, it's definetly ironic. However this is the internet, a war game on the internet to be specific.

There is no way a kid hasn't ran in to much more innapropriate things than a reference a rated movie.(not saying this is ok)

The general atmosphare of tanki isn't for kids at all. You see people talking about god knows what on the chat, basic values like respect for others, appropriate lanquaqe or respecting yourself are ignored by many. Cheating and pishing happens on the regular, parents that protective wouldn't let a child here.

The "no good coming from this" is just pure bs. The general purpose of the movie is entertainment, hence it entertains some people... i mean look at this event, it has the most positive feedback for god knows how long. But sure it's a money grab, the whole game is.

Still afterall they could've pulled off a better, more appropriate reference, and the risk would've been completely erased...

Im positive about this, until i see an actul complain about damage it did. I think everyone should be, the potential for harm is small :)

It IS an inappropriate movie. That's the point. By doing an event like this, they're promoting discussion of it, and so comes the inappropriate items that are exhibited in the movie. You can think of it this way. If kids may have already watched stuff on the net that's more inappropriate, it still matters to the other kids in the game that they aren't exposed to it. From a parent's perspective, its a revolting thought to have their children discover these things when they're not supposed to.

"I am touching my self tonight"

A PERFECT example of what SHOULDN'T be on the forum/chat. But given this event, its almost as if Tanki is promoting this sort of discussion of the movie. It's not even banned/censored yet!

They promote Tanki as a SAFE game for all ages. Check out MrCommando's post here

That is the pure reason we need to keep these things appropriate. Of course kids could learn swearing in school. They could hear it from friends. However, Tanki still works towards providing a clean-language chat for kids. The punishments aren't light either.

I'm not posting this to create an argument. I'm posting this from an adult/parent's point of view that Deadpool isn't something I'd want a child to see. I wish for a RESPONSIBLE and JUSTIFIABLE response from an administrator.

You are right on that. Tanki is definetly not appropriate for kids, atleast by the western standards.

As a company tankis values are, and most likely will stay on the: get maximum incom legally territory.

Unless their power to work in those terms effectively is threathened.

What im saying is this: If you want tanki to: " keep these things appropriate." you need a get a hold tankis values.

I don't believe your concerns will be taken seriously, unless you can actually prove to tanki, that this event is against their own norms.

You need something solid for that: actual complains from parents, legal invalidness, research results, petition etc.

So im suggesting you to either try to create stronger feedback, or be happy with it.

However if you manage to get a response you are satisfied with, or make a change by your posts, im more than happy for you.

The red paint against Vulcon has sealed my low opinion of tankiKGB for the short term. I just left another game where the enemy had a Vulcon on a heavy hull, driven by a drugger. Vulcon still shoots through buildings and walls so that is intentional as well. It is designed to dominate the battlefield, not to be a balanced contributor to the battle. And that is intended to increase it's sale and use, resulting in more defensive paint sales.

My response now is to leave almost every battle where I am opposed by a vulcon. If there are two, I am always instantly gone. That's my defense. Why should I stay and fight a battle where I die, die, and die some more.

Japan nearly put Detroit out of business 50 years ago by selling a better automobile for a fair price. It was a commendable approach to capitalism, and successful. EVERYBODY but Detroit was happy with their product. I now spend less $$$ on tanki then I did 6 months ago because it is not as much fun as before.
