Well I can't say I didn't enjoy it... news on sales is always good. Had a few issues with this one in particular though...

 

First off, is it just me, or did the V-LOG get shorter? I'm pretty sure it did...

 

Secondly, just a little note to Alex Lynch. We all know you try and do a good job, but please... pllleeaaassee try to sound just a bit more happy. I know I'm kinda being rude, ratting on your voice and all, but if you are going to be doing the V-LOGs from now on, try and make an effort to sound sorta happy, 'cuz right now you kinda sound like you're from the Costumer Service department, a.k.a. frustrated and angry. (Alternatively you could get Semyon back, but...) But that's just a nitpick.

 

Thirdly... *sigh* yet another "Pro's Advice" promoting the usage of drugs? It's hard enough fighting with Firebird since it's been nerfed a ton recently, but now every time I sneak up behind someone to gently warm their buttocks, I'm met with a Double Armor and Repair Kit combo. Even if I do the "obvious thing" and drug back, by then my energy pool has been drained. Was it really necessary to make the game harder for everyone who uses Firebird? Jeez...

 

Also, just a quick question -- do you pay Pros for their advice? You should, they probably make you a lot of profit... just sayin'...  :ph34r:

 

Anyway, those are my qualms with the V-LOG. See you next Friday.

Before you all get too excited about this, you need to listen. There might've been a HUGE fraud.

You see, with poems such as ~

popping up every once in a while, this might be the biggest fraud that ever happened in TO. You know V-LOGs Video of the Week? It is stolen. <-- Yes, that video is stolen. That video was deliberately recorded by using a screen recording software.

That video is taken from It_is_Time_to_Win's channel. I know this because I have seen it. It is one of the Gold Box Montages - I will try to find it and post it here.

 

And since the person committed fraud and got successful, there should be a punishment. According to Rules and Regulation of the Administration, committing fraud results in stripping of either Garage items, experience or Ranks.

 

If anyone else knows this, please spread the message so that fraudulent person doesn't get those 50k crystals.

Here is my complete, unfiltered, honest, unbiased opinion on the V-Log.

 

1: So-so Pro's advice. Pick up supplies on the way in and out of a base? Use repair kits when your health is about to hit zero? Come on, everybody knows that! I did like the phantom trick, though. Kudos to the Pro for that.

 

2: Not impressed by the redDEADpool event. It only benefits the high ranks! Cool, a new gift. Who can afford that? Not me! I actually want to BUY something during the sales! Novel idea, right? And the paint? It's not available for anyone under Colonel! Why not make it like Eternity, different at different ranks?

 

3: I appreciate the sales. I really do. And I thank you, devs, for giving us sales at all. My one tiny, tiny gripe is this: please, please, please, put the sales all on ONE day. Kit prices are barely SCRATCHED by them as they are. I'd rather have a 10% sale if it is all on one day than a 25% sale on each category of item on several days!

 

4: Now, about the V-Log itself. First off, it used to be 9-12 minutes. This one wasn't even 6! Why are they getting shorter? You only need to do these once a week! Please, bring them back to ten minutes long. As another member said, why not tell us a little about Tanki X? We would all (OK, most of us) love to hear more about TX! Finally, to the voice-over guy. I honestly don't mind your voice at all. I'm fine with it! You are getting a lot of negative feedback, and I think it is because people miss Semyon. I won't lie, I miss him too. But you are doing a good job. Keep it up!

 

In conclusion, I think this was an OK V-Log. However, it wasn't that good, due to a combination of a mostly stale Pro's Advice and a very short length. It can,and hopefully will get better! Thanks for reading my long rant opinion, and good luck! ~ DragonOfStorms, signing off.

I really like your eloquence and writing style, keep it up man.

 

1. I agree, the Pro's advice was far too basic this go around. Of course it can be difficult because new players and professionals alike watch the V-LOG. Still, I think it's better giving more complicated tips, since the newbies will figure out the simple stuff on their own eventually. 

 

2. The minimum rank to buy the paint is actually Colonel, but still, good point. They could've made a less powerful version of the paint for lower ranks, like they did with Eternity. They must have their reasons for not doing this, but I don't know what they are.

 

3. I appreciate your appreciation man, it's all too sparse these days.

 

4. I really really really agree with this one. I really love settling down with a long V-LOG, it gives you a much better glimpse into what's going on in the world of Tanki. My guess is that the super short V-LOG was just an experiment, but I hope they don't keep it this way. In fact I'd rather have V-LOGs be around 15-20 minutes, but I'm sure not everyone feels that way. And yeah, they should give some updates on TX.

Alex Lynch sounds really excited in this video :D Sounds like he's giving commentary for an action movie's trailer. Good one, suits the V-LOG :P

 

But one thing. Before, when Semyon gave the intros, we used to see his face. Now, with the voice-overs, we see stale graphics which kinda ruin the VLOG IMHO. Just change the graphics to something more relevant, because seeing random gameplay when you're talking about updates is DEAD boring. :)

now on Thursday just when they posted the new red pain they also showed the frozen paint with 20% protection..so where is it ..i can't seem to find it anywhere now..or will this be a special item in Iron days ??

 

or will it be a paint that you can have a choice on with the old premium account ..but you would need to lower the % to be the same
