Hello fellow tankers! This is something that I have wanted to write about for a while now, I hope you enjoy!  :) It's about fire vs freeze and which hulls go best with them.

Lets start off with some Pros and Cons

Special effects:

Both Freeze and Fire have very strong special effects when together. Even when separate, Freeze can stop tankers from running away (R.I.P flag capturers) and it's also a strong defensive weapon. The Freeze effect can be nullified by a fire, an Isida or a health kit. (Note: As many of you will already know, Freeze was nerfed a little while ago. This means that its affect is significantly worse than what it used to be (the freeze time was 32 seconds, far too long whereas it is now ONLY 4! Which is arguably too short.)) Fire its also a unique weapon. It has a powerful after burn effect. When a tanker takes damage from a Firebird, s/he will also give you a powerful after burn which can (an often does) kill you even if the main damage doesn't. This effect however can also be nullified by a Freeze, an Isida or a health kit.9IDBwkE.png

 

Reload time:

The biggest problem after the range: The reload time. The reload time for both these guns is quite a long time. Thank goodness you don't have to wait until the charge is fully reloaded. You can still shoot while it's reloading.

 

High DPS:

Note: It's not DPS, it's DPS because the S is replaced by an S. :P Both Fire and Freeze's damge per second is very high. Both can kill a viking with full health if full charge is used (especially with Firebird's afterburn).

 

Hulls:

Titan or Mammoth: I do not recommend using titan or mammoth with fire or freeze because of the speed. Obviously, the speed of mammoth is very slow even when you get speed boost. The same goes for titan. It's a little faster but it still won't work. Unless... The only place that these hulls work are in small maps such as ping pong or as a flag/point defender, as you will be able to burn or slow people before they can cap the flag/point.

Hornet: This is a great hull to use with fire and freeze. It has a reasonable armour and is fast meaning that you can reach enemies before dying and can kill or damage them a lot.

Hunter:  Many people like this because of the (now expired) kit, firewall (M2 Fire and Hunter with hohloma as a paint). It is especially loved in Noise, where it dominates. I myself have never used it.

Wasp: Wasp is good because you can get away from enemy tanks and can also chase tanks so that you can get in range to attack them.

Dictator: I do not recommend dictator with fire or freeze, except for gold hunters. personia tells me of a time when a fire dic flamed him and didn't hit him because of its height.

 

Freeze: Freeze is a relatively unique weapon. It is great in defensive positions because of its slowing effect. One tip when slowing enemies: Do NOT stay in the same place. Drive around them in circles or you will most likely die. 

 

F​ire: Firebird is a great weapon. It has my favorite effect (the after burn). The afterburn almost never fails when defending or attacking. Tip: Try to hit two people at the same time.

Dear all, this was Kru's first writing, so please don't slaughter him.

 

I personally think it was well written (and well edited). Mostly good content and reasonable formatting. Well done!
