M4 Domination: Hammer Vs Smoky

The advantage of Smoky is it 's versatility.

At medium range it is at it 's best.

It will also perform on short range, certainly when you can combine it with the

very useful knocking off aim impact force.

Though take notice: Smoky is not made for short range.

Even at long distances it works, it becomes a sort of fast shooting Railgun, but you just have to

make more hits.

One of the strong points is that you can fire indefinitely, so there 's no need to take a pause but

you can keep on attacking.

Personally I like it most with Hornet, using it 's speed to avoid being attacked and meanwhile being

able to play in an agressive style.

Steadily depleting the health of your opponents, or in a big chunck with a crit.

Smoky can be mounted on every hull.

Hammer does need a little pause to reload the three shots clip and you always need to be aware

how much shots you got left: it 's often best to empty a single shot in the blue.

That and the limited range are the only weak points.

The major advantages is the very high damage output.

When on DP it 's a possibility to kill three light hulls with one single three shots clip:

depending on their protection levels ofcourse.

It 's that high damage output that makes it a very feared turret for sure.

Hammer can be mounted best on medium and light hulls.

Recently the M4 Wasp/Hammer combo has gained a lot of popularity.

If you want a powerhouse that 's very effective on short to medium distances take a Hammer.

Though be sure that you know how to effectively use every clip.

When you are searching a versatile gun take Smoky.

And if you can make every shot count and you can knock off aim some shots fired at you:

it will be very generous to it 's owner.

Which one is the best?

Due to the shorter distance it operates at it 's best aiming is a bit easier,

and especially because you don 't need much shots to destroy an opponent,

Hammer will be more effective for a larger group of Tankers.

Smoky is at it 's best when it operates at a larger distance and you will also

have to land a lot more hits on your opponents.

This makes Smoky less suited for every Tanker, though operating it

becomes a lot easier if you mount it on a heavy hull, so that 's a very good option.

edit: recently done some Pro battles without supplies on my alt.

In that case you better take Hammer, it 's OP and it does well without DP.

Smoky without DP suffers in these M4 equipment battles.
