This is the story of how my friend Masternimatoad caught three golds.

 
It was a pretty normal day, I got back from school and without giving a second thought to my homework sat down to play Tanki Online. 
 
I completed my missions pretty quickly, and then I started searching for a decent battle that was balanced enough for me to enjoy. 
 
I didn't find any I liked, and I had the burning desire to play some XP/BP in Sandbox. I would have made it a PRO battle, but I don't have Railgun M2 (change that, developers); and if I didn't format it then it would take forever to get enough people to join, since barely anyone has a PRO pass these days (work on that too)... So I created a normal battle.
 
As usual, when I create a battle I post the link in public chat and invite all my friends. After about 20 seconds, people started flooding in; and it was a full 4v4 within two minutes. A few of my good friends also came, and Masternimatoad  joined the enemy team.

 

I wanted to play some XP/BP, but so many people joined so quickly I didn't have enough time to get all of them to understand my intention of creating the battle, but I was using my XP combo and I enjoyed myself.

 

The game was going well, until Masternimatoad captured our flag and the siren rang.

 

Everyone was zipping around, looking for the drop point. I found it and was going to self-destruct and change into Viking, my favorite hull for catching golds.

I respawned on the opposite side of the map (what luck) and was racing to the drop point. For some reason there weren't any tanks nearby, except for Masternimatoad. Yeah, he beat me to it.

 

The game continued, and a minute or two later he captured another flag.

 

The gold siren rang yet again!

 

I didn't make the same mistake twice, instead I picked up a double damage and shot off some hornets without armor. I was hoping to catch that gold for myself, but Masternimatoad managed to catch that one too.

 

At this point I was really hyped, I told him to mark this day on his calendar as the day he caught two golds after capturing two flags in the same battle. But it wasn't over.

 

As the battle played on, I was in this 'situation' where I was low on health and driving to a repair kit; at this point I just closed my eyes and prayed I'd make it.

 

But he was there again, a shot in the back with my pal's microupgraded Hammer M2 was the end of me. And it happened again!!

 

This time everyone didn't know how to act, since he's already caught two golds, and a third one was about to fall!

 

Eventually they wrapped their mind around what was happening, and of course everyone started lining up around the drop point.

 

It was a close one between him and I, we were side by side with my hornet and his hunter reaching for the box. But everyone knows that hunter is taller, so he picked up that box as well.

 

Moral of the story?

 

If you're in the same battle with Masternimatoad when the gold is about to fall, you ain't gettin' that box.
