Gold Box Value Varies By Rank

Recommended Posts

The current gold box value is 1000 crystals regardless of what map, battle, server, rank, etc.

This means that catches are amazingly good for low to mid ranks, yet hardly worth fighting over for high ranks and Gismos.

My suggestion is that the base crystal value of the Gold Box be determined by the minimum rank eligible for the current battle. That vale can then be augmented by the size of the map and the number of players in the battle.

The base crystal value for low ranks should be 500. Yes this is lower than the current Gold Box.

Mid rank gold boxes should be 1000 crystals.

High rank gold boxes should be 2000 crystals

Gismo golds should be 5000. Reward those who have achieved that rank!

For tiny maps, no amount adjustment

For small maps, add 100 crystals

For medium maps, add 200 crystals

For large maps, add 500 crystals

Finally add 5 to 10 crystals for every player in the battle at the time of the drop

Sure, these numbers might need to be tweaked, but scaling the Gold Box crystal amount in this manner has several benefits.

-increased player satisfaction through amounts suited to rank and battle

-increased game excitement though amounts which are different for each battle

-ability to apply multipliers for special events. 2x, 4x, 5x etc

It's a good idea and many players suggested it before, so I can assure you that developers are aware of this and the only reason they didn't add it yet is either because they have other priorities at the moment or they do not want to implement this at all.

However, we do not accept ideas regarding increase or decrease of Gold Boxes' values, as stated in the Ideas and suggestions section rules, therefore....
