Mistake in Railgun M0 upgrade

Hi

This is not a mistake.  Please note that the up'd value is not applied as a flat rate across the range.  Weapons like rail, rico, twins, thunder, shaft have variable damage rate.  That's why their damage property is always listed as a range and not a fixed value.

In your particular case the increment of 0.9 is applied in the latter part of the range and progressively decreased across to the other side of the range.

Examples :

In this case, 0.1 increment only applied to higher end of the range

In this case its applied flat out across the range, or so it seem, more on this below ↓

In this case you can see it was only about 0.4 applied in the lower end.

What do all these mean?  Well to me, it means perhaps tanki should adopt a graph system for such upgrades, I'm pretty sure many of you playing car racing games would be familiar with such graphs, provides a visual indication as to how these upgrades affect the whole range of values and not just the endpoints.

What it means for you?  More maths if you wanna be a more accurate player :D  Its just from now one when using these weapons you'll have to be aware of the min damage point, their max damage points and the average.  It does bring a plus experience to your gaming knowing these, specially with rail since the range is so widespread.  Most noticeable with RAIL vs WASP (no paint) - Just ask em BP players :)

Additionally, these values above are rounded to 1 decimal place.  But their real values in the game are more precise than that.  Hence why there's more apparent discrepancies in the posted values.

Now, before you ask, the full values are not posted and rather rounded up to 1 dp to make things less complicated for the many maths haters out there and things look less like the matrix (game is already very green man)

As for the graph thing I mentioned, well its not here cause you have to keep in mind MU weren't a thing in tanki,  the initial game code was never developed with this idea in mind, it was only squeezed in later on.  Making a whole graph system just to represent these values would have taken much time from devs to cook up while there's been other stuff to work on.  But hey, lets hope to see better system for this in next game ;)
