Well, the latest permutation of the server problem is a lock-up that also seizes up your computer by sending corrupted data in one long stream that overwhelms the graphic card. :huh:   Today, my screen froze during a shootout and instead of coming back, it held that battle, occasionally flickering with new data, until I had to forcibly disconnect my wifi. :angry: My browser was just locked up tight.

After losing continuity, the server continued to send garbage data through the connection for more than 30 seconds, by which time I had had enough. It seems like Tanki never runs out of ways to make us want to stop playing and go do something else.

I have had something like this also.  I also believe that it is going to get a lot worse after the launch of tanki x.  I do not see very much time and expense being spared into a dark failing platform when their is a bright new light.  The only thing that might improve it will be its ultimate downfall.  The abandoning of the ship by its players.  Their is not very much apatite for flash world wide many want it gone.  It should have been ditched years ago and replaced rather than patched up in a higgledy-piggledy way.

I had some lag Promblems with Gold boxes in EN3,  Well When you See Gold box will be dropped soon  When it said That Your Ping turns 999 So I refresh And I Get Kicked out of battle And im annoyed with that please fix the promblem

Please, atlast somehow fix your madeating game! 

 

Please, fix railgun lagshots - when players railgun is another direction and second player is away from the railgun shot, no matters what, second player still gets shot from first player.

 

Please, fix your anti-cheat system, what you still havent fixed :-) ( You are not working on it at all, because like half year already has began and still it sucks.)

 

Please, fix also players with having bad network, who are teleporting cause of that.

 

Please, fix your wholes in your Tanki Online anti-cheat system. Players still cheats as mad. You just can't fix it, thats why you have made those violation forum pages.

 

And I supose, there still more problems. :-)

 

 

You are not working on TO anymore, because nothing has changed over like years. Only got worse. After you started to work on that Tanki X, TO lags as old gramma. And still nothing is changed in TO, besides, developers and mods told that you are working on all that.

 

Lies! :-) You kind work on all those bugs and glitches like over half a year. Soon will be a year. XD

This is impossible to fix. Every online game has it and it's not the developers' fault. I explained it many times before - this is caused by internet connection delay on the user's end and Tanki developers have no control over it. The server is calculating the hits correctly and there is never a problem with a hit dealing damage despite actually missing its target. The only way for you to completely remove this glitch is if all players in your battle connect directly to Tanki servers in the Netherlands, which obviously isn't going to happen. Therefore we just have to deal with it.

The anti-cheat system is working fine. The only reason you don't think it's effective is because you don't actually see it in action. It stops hackers playing completely, blocks many cheats from working and disables various third-party access to the game. If there was no anti-cheat at all, then every single battle would be taken over by hackers and it would be impossible to play. So we should be thankful for what it does do, instead of complaining about its weaknesses.

 

Sure, there are still some hackers in the game, with new hacks that the anti-cheat has not yet been designed to block yet. It's an ongoing battle that will never end. hackers will develop new cheats and TO devs will improve the anti-cheat system. There will never be a point when the anti-cheat will be so good that the game will be impossible to hack.

Again, this is just the player's fault. The anti-cheat already self-destructs players, who are lagging too much (and get an advantage because of lag) and it forces lagging players to drop enemy flags so that they can't teleport away from it. Not everyone can afford a good internet connection, so making it any more strict would completely prevent thousands of players from playing the game.

 

What if the system would instantly kick anyone, whose ping goes above 50ms? Sure, many players with good ping (myself included) would be enjoying lagger-free games, but thousands of players (maybe even you) would basically get banned from playing the game. Would you be happy if that happened to you?

You can't say that something is taking too long unless you actually have experience with these things and know how time-consuming coding and bug fixing is. If you do have such experience and actually know that this is a simple issue, then you are welcome to contact the developers and perhaps give them advice that would help them find a solution faster. If not, then I strongly recommend that you don't complain that something takes too long to do just because it "looks simple".

One of the lags that I have been having is on maps that u can fall off of.  some of the times when you fall off instead of self destructing it keeps on falling.  Eventually the arena and background fall away and get replaced with murky brown.  After that your tank disappears.  You keep falling and only see the life and gun reload.  Eventually you refresh the page and log in again.  Contact me about possible options to fix it or fix it you self!

I'ma take a break from tanki until this lag goes away. I'm sure its not my pc or internet cuz im using a MacBook Pro. 

Its the servers. OMG how clear do we have to make it to these guys???

REDUCE THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS OR FIX THE SERVERS TO ACCOMMODATE THEM.

Or we can find a very quick way to "fix" Tanki...and you will have to find new jobs when we are all gone.

Since one week ago the game got slower and laggier , Flash player eats more processor time, computer gets very hot. What happened, any bad update? 

Its a compendium of many problems, all of which result in a lost connection, which the server exacerbates by continuing to send outdated data, while your graphic card tries to make some sense out of it (and freezes or locks up). My PC comes perilously close to crashing now, whenever this glitch is in play. I manually unhook my wifi to stop the crapola, then I can close the Flash Player window.

 

ONE error I can see is that with the last update to Flash Player, the connect speed fluctuates wildly along with the CPU cycles. Someone may have taken a shortcut on the patch. :(

It is mainly the servers.  They continually try to blame everything else as always.  However they are doing a big fix and that will be Tanki X on UNITY.  They could fix this or at the very least improve it.  

 

Limit number of games on each sever

 

Limit the number of players in each game

 

The easiest way to go about regulating would be to assign logging on servers to a groups ranks.  Ideally all severs wold be used to split the ranks but I doubt that they have the will to rejoin us with the Russians!  We could merge with the German and Polish, most of them have good English and they are rarely full. As it stands then if the 11 EN servers each had a small number consecutive ranks assigned to them in order of rank.  So that a private and corporal on EN 1  and the Generalissimo on EN 11 all other ranks spread evenly between.  Their would be far less confusion.  It would be far easier to find a game suitable.  Players could move to adjacent servers to find friends but could not move to many servers away because ranks would not be legal to play as it is at the moment.  Instead of having to search all servers for a game, one could easily find a suitable game in ones own server or near adjacent servers. A generalissimo logging on to server EN 11 could not go to EN 1.  Likewise a corporal on EN 1 could not go  to EN 11, each of them could move laterally a sever or more to find suitable ranked players.  

 

Attending to server distribution by rank as suggested above would also massively reduce lage because players would be far better distributed between servers.  Their would be far less of a tendency to overcrowd and cause Lag!

It would also help to have the rank ranges on the servers dynamic..

 

So each 5 minutes the load of the servers is assessed, the amount of players-by-rank are counted on each server; and based on this the rank-ranges for the login (which server do I enter on login) are changed. Dynamically, during the day.

This should also level out some of the load (for sure not all, only a unified lobby would perfectly level out the load)

This is impossible to fix. Every online game has it and it's not the developers' fault. I explained it many times before - this is caused by internet connection delay on the user's end and Tanki developers have no control over it.  Every? Look at World Of Tanks or Rocket League - if player have bad connection, than game remembers its last given comand. If he drives foward, he drives foward, if tank makes a shot, than it makes there, where pointed his turret, even if player has bad connection, turret still saves his position and shots there, where player sent to game his last comand, where to shot. That is developers problem, that railgun turret is pointed to wall, but shot goes to opposite direction. :-)

Didn't know that anti-cheat systems are made also agaisnt players, who doesnt cheat. Like, look around - TO have years and it is old as world alsmot :D, but comoe on, all these years Tanki developers made soooo gooood anti-cheat system, that even kills non-cheating players. Now that is a grade. Lets get serious - that anti-cheat system has made I think more problems than before. Personaly I didn't complain about game,

As I mensioned before, than game have to save players last comand by not showing turrets other direction or moving or else somethin, but shot to my direction.

Also I want to say that there is another annoiying thing - when I want to knock-back shots, it doesnt happen. I can shot tanks in corner as much as I want, but enemy teanks still doesnt change direction. That moment when I am so happy when I knocked back enemy shot, but I still get shoted.

Age does not make the game better. In fact, it makes it worse. Flash is outdated, I think some browsers stopped or limited its support and it's generally just a paint in the back to work with. This is why developers made a new game in Unity - it's easier to work with and doesn't have as many bugs.

 

I'm pretty sure that some things are literally impossible to fix due to the way the game engine processes data it receives. I never played WoT, so I can't argue with you about the way they deal with lag, but from what you described, it looks like their game engine has a completely different way of dealing with lag and I doubt that this can be changed in Tanki Online because it's probably just a problem related to Flash itself.

 

P.S.

I don't know about you, but from my experience the anti-cheat only kills me when I'm lagging or when I'm on top of another lagger. Sure, it's unfair that normal players get killed because of laggers, but again - the players are a the problem here, since if there weren't any laggers, there wouldn't be false self-destructs.

The only time when the anti-cheat is actually wrong is on Madness, when you jump from the top and die in mid-air if you shoot with Smoky or Thunder.

I basicly play with Smoky/Wasp combo and thats why maybe I have self-destructs as much as stars in skys. :D ...because I often get on other tanks and I often fly.

Is it just me or has there been crazy server lags recently? I've never seen lags like this ever. I'm getting hit through walls even though I'm no where near it. For example, I was in Sand and I ran up the ramp bit and was almost in the middle and I took a hit as if I hadn't even got up the ramp. Like seriously? The lags seemed like FPS issues but my FPS was no less than 50. My Ping was also as normal but I was lagging like berserk. This must be fixed, to makes the game super boring to play, so much so that I don't even feel like playing. The only reason there's not fire coming out of my ears right now is because I took a lucky Gold today. Please fix this ASAP, it's been going on for about 24 hours.

Off and on the lag has been quite bad for me.  It is mainly in the busiest servers.  One might start a game with few players and everything is fine.  Then as more players start, the lag becomes worse and worse, until eventually it becomes so bad that it is virtually impossible to play.  Occasionally the game will completely freeze or even white out and crash.
