Are you playing in full screen mode by any chance?

i play on client full screen, and yesterday game was not loading neither on client nor on chrome.

 

then i disconnected my internet, connected it back on, cleared the app data thing, uninstalled the client, then installed it again, and then after forever waiting, it loaded, but the game was so glitchy, i could open my garage after 20 minutes only, and got kicked from the battle i joined for inactivity, even though i never entered.

 

its fine today, but it doesn't remain that way for long

Slow loading could also be related to your internet connection, you can try running a speed test at http://www.speedtest.net/ If you want to post a screenshot of the result here, make sure you hide your IP address.

Cannot login to any server.

I have tried different servers both on client and firefox.

I have latest client. I am running Windows 10 with latest updates.

Other network access is working correctly, email, http, etc

When opening client it open splash screen but just sits there, I gave up after 5 mins

I played to day for about an hour, and the servers have been decently laggy.

I would have had time to play an hour more, but it was simply no fun if the servers forward everything in slow-motion.

 

And yes, my ping was 22 and all other players were slow too. I also saw a lot more people missing shots then usual.

So it was about the servers definitely, especially indicated by showing their load bar at their limit (but not yet locked up).

 

I hope it improves soon.. as the community split was shut down there should be more HW resources anyways.

Same with me. When someone joins, sometimes their nickname is "null" but then it is fixed...

Friends list loads slowly sometimes, sometimes Tanki freezes, I lag out sometimes with a very low fps or high ping, and please fix the lag at gold boxes. I always have Ping 999 when I'm close to catching a gold.

You could use a real speed meter like the grand daddy of all speed meters DSLReports it will tell you much more than speedtestnet ever will.

Hi Tanki Online! according to your specifications page Tanki can be played on a 2.33GHz or better Processor and a current Operating System:Windows XP/Vista/7/8, Mac OS X 10.5.8+, Linux, a minimum RAM: 1 GB or suggested RAM: 4 GB a graphics card that has between 128 MB and 1GB and lastly you will need Broadband internet.

 

My question is Since I started tanki I always had better than the minimum. Like 2 GB video card, at least 8 GB ram and when I started a duo core 2.8GHZ processor and some 2 years a go upgraded the ram to 16GB the Processor to 8 core 4.2GHZ and in the last 6 months a 290x 4GB video card. By your specs I should have a killer of a machine to run Tanki. The old 2GB vid cards did fine until Last year when you decided to plant more virtual trees and make the graphics better for a game that needed attention elsewhere.

 

My video card still gets hot plays much better than the old card but the old card used to handle Tanki like the specs said. I know before I changed the video card when it reached its saturation point of heat it affected the lag and made playing brutal. I fixed it for a short time by turning off all non essential graphics. Then your programmers decided that Tanki needed more graphics fluff.

 

I think you should update your System Requirements info to reflect a real machine capable of rendering all the graphics enhancements you unnecessarily keep adding to Tanki. The game would have been fine without all the upgraded graphics and peoples machines would not add to the lag from overheating issues. Even my beefier card gets to an over heated state at some point after 4 or 5 hours. Where I can only snipe and movement of the tank causes lag at the same moment the card's fan turns on full. It is not a PSU issue as it is 1000W Corsair. There are only SSD and a liquid cooler for processor and 4 fans. nothing to draw and major amps and cause lag. Heated cards do cause lag related problems.

I won't blame you for lag as testing the servers in Netherlands this weekend I got the same ping times with DSL_Reports. It might have been the load of players from the sale.

 

I had for the last six years Broadband 6Mbps down and 1Mbps up tanki lagged more in the last year or so then any other time. A recent speed change 50Mbpsdown and 10Mbps up has helped nothing. My fire wall reports no more than 900kbps down and 300Kbps Up like it always did. Tanki may not have the best servers or the Netherlands may have bad connections to the web. I may have a bad router or my ISP has bad lines to the greater net but I get my paid for speed with 22ms tops to anywhere in NorthAmerica, where I live. Sure as anything your specs for video cards and processor are too low.

 

Quick note about Tanki_X:

 

When I first downloaded TankiX on My Better PC 8 core 4.8GHZ 32GB Ram machine with 290X 4MB I noticed two things you had the graphics maxed and while downloading my CPU temp went way above normal 22C it is also Water cooled. I never noticed any other Download that taxed the CPU before. I have no Idea why a download would tax a CPU. I have been told that graphics settings aren't maxed anymore when installing and playing for the first time and that is good.

I think you are completely missing the point here, a PC with the specified minimum system requirements can run TO at the minimum playable frame rate; 25-30 fps on minimum settings.

Frankly 22 centigrade is icy cool for a CPU, modern CPUs can run safely at anything up to 75 centigrade.

Hello! A while back it wasnt a problem for me to reach 60 fps on max graphics, now its impossible even on lowest graphics. I can play CS GO on 140 fps, TankiX on 60, GTA 4 on 60 fps, paladins on 60, (Sometimes drops down to 10 for a second or 2) so.. I dont know why, but tanki is extremely lagging.

I just came from battle where my shots dealt damage after few seconds after shell landed (magnum) and i had stable 999 ping. After that battle i instantly went to speedtest.net and..

Yes, today my internet is extremely slow, its killing me, loading pages takes forever, like 2-3 seconds, but still. If speedtest says 18 ping and tanki says 999+ ping, then i think this is not my fault, or if i can play many hight quality games on good FPS, while i can barely play tanki on 8-9 fps.

Have you tried clearing your cache? Easiest way to do that is by using CCleaner.

Otherwise, you can manually clear your browser cache, flash cache and shared objects.

i always complain after completing these steps, and all of my softwares are also up to date. 

i didn't face low fps problem today, i think something went wrong in tanki servers yesterday because i saw a lot of players complaining about low FPS problem.

Insane lags sometimes, like I am having a great time jogging in the battle and everyone is doing weird stuff and moving turrets.
