"3. Tanki Staff Members receive too many perks.

The announcement of Tanki's best Helpers of 2015, getting Premium for a year and XT's of their choice, sparked an outrage. People were annoyed that Tanki Staff Members, who work very hard, indulge in too many perks. To name a few, Lhamster, Issho_Fujitora and Shad0w365, are extremely hard workers and deserve every last bit of their rewards. Issho works extremely hard, occupying some of the most gruelling roles, spending hours on Wiki work, Shad0w likewise. Lhamster spends hours co-ordinating all the Reporter's Articles for us to enjoy, I, first hand, know how hard it is to write an Article, even just one. It takes hours and hours of your time, hours that these people have dedicated to the greater good of Tanki. People also think that in-game Mods are paid for Bans, total and utter lies! They get minimal for the work they do but they do it for us, we should be grateful, not critical."

Ya think? Like 1/4 of then EN mods are away right now and still get rewards

Black on Black is usually not readable, so please do not do that. And I do not understand a word you just said.

Hi marc!

If you can tell me how you made that logo thingy with two railguns on your homepage i would be really grateful, anyways, i see that you are made up of reporter material. I think you should apply here.

Thanks,

fahad.

Well, I quoted his message so I could read the black-on-black but I just can't interpret what he trying to say!

1. You posted it twice.

2. I was a member who posted articles, without any plagiarism, but cannot find my name in the list

3. Well written mate.

4. To whom did you refer to as mockers in the last paragraph ?

1. Idk how that happened, thanks, fixed, can you please edit your post?

2. Thanks! ;)

3. Sorry, I hadn't really seen your Articles in my time in the TWG. This was written from my POV.

4. Found it: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=305729

Don't worry, I will hide both this post and the above post after you give me the link you are searching for. Oh and btw I sent some poems, guides and articles when I was in TWG, and it was in the name of TWG, but only a poem came on the list, I guess Darren forgot to add it.

**This post will be hidden soon*

I.EMB, there was the Experts Guide. But aside from that, you were clean.

Yes, this was why I didn't mention him, now I remember. Edited by Marc

Actually the experts guide was the only thing that came on the list.

I published 2 different poem, and an article on celebs of Tanki, which was not added to the list, but was under TWG.

I hid all my Issue topics, after TWG got destroyed , so that I could start the TCG lol.

The Truth About TWG.

I'm sure many of you people must have heard about TWG, a group who spammed the Off-Topic of tankers who enjoyed writing (more so, about Tanki) and wanted to see where they could go in Tanki, with their writing, hopefully leading to getting chosen as a Reporter or Wiki Editor. TWG recently closed down after a lot of controversy. I lost a lot of respect for some Members after the whole 'Plagiarism issue.' TWG basically collapsed, with Members who shamefully ditched TWG after they realised they were a minority. I honestly can't put it in any better words, than greyat when he called some of the Members of TWG, 'Rats jumping a sinking ship.' Couldn't agree any more with it, it was 100% true, the cowardliness shown by some Members (not naming names). Since I was a Member of the TWG, I know some of the behind-the-scenes actions and what happened. I thought that it might be worth shedding the light on some of the information regarding TWG. Yes, I understand that this isn't one of my slightly light-hearted Articles/Guides, this will probably be quite a controversial Article/Topic, including points that you may or may not agree with.

1. The PM's.

I must say, all of our Leaders, Darren4Turbo, Bigtimerush_bry & personia were all good Leaders, for whatever it's worth. They are not to blame for the plagiarism issues, in my humble opinion. From what I could see, (as a Member of the TWG) they were doing quite a good job. Darren set deadlines and showed the other Leaders how everything should be organised, he was quite the 'role model' you may say. The PM's were very organised - the first post included a small message and then going straight to the point by telling us the deadline. Deadlines were firm and it wasn't appreciated if you published after the deadline. It was quite a friendly PM, with light hearted conversations, nothing too serious or offensive at all. In my PM, we had BDT constantly flooding us with his mini-Articles and 'Halloween Party Showdown' Articles. That was simply because he worked on his Articles by using the PM's, BTR used Google Docs and I used my iPad Notes. Darren would keep us in the loop and tell us deadlines and information, whilst occasionally giving us tips.

2. The 'Filtration Process.'

I know, quite the funny heading but I feel like no one really 'filtered' Members, making sure that they could write an Article and if it was good, they would remain in the group, if not, they would be kicked or given another chance to produce another Article. Unfortunately, because we didn't check who were good writers and who plagiarised Articles, it basically led to the closing of TWG. We needed to see who could produce quality Articles and who couldn't. Reflecting on the past, I remember how excited I was, sending the PM to Darren with my TWG Application, hoping I would be accepted. Looking back on the past, I don't think I deserved to be a Member, my first Article was horrible - nowhere near the standard of the other writers, thankfully I improved! At that time, I thought I was producing quality Guides, I wasn't, it was very low quality Articles. I took the criticism that I received on board and I felt that I need to up my game and prove myself worthy, hoping that my second Article would be better. Right enough, I upped my game and produced a pretty decent second Article - sticking to my guns and doing some Poems, one on Maps and the other on Halloween. I felt like it was a lot better than what I had previously written. Unfortunately, within those beginning Issues, I didn't realise that they would not only be the most controversial for myself, but ultimately for the whole TWG. Within those two Issues, the Article which was copied from the Wiki, the Contest that copied TNT's Poetry Quest (which was hidden by the Author), the Article that copied a song and the Article that actually copied my Article was in. It should have been filtered then and there. In saying that, the Leaders could never have predicted the problems they would later face.

3. The 'Rats Jumping a Sinking Ship.'

After Fen's post, the TWG basically imploded, it really rocked the TWG. Our Co-Leader was so embarrassed of us (even though he was the one who had a plagiarised Article) that he completely ditched us and sucked up to the Newspaper team. Lham could pretty clearly see the sucking up business and retaliated with some sarcasm, after that, majority of the TWG left from embarrassment or were kicked for making plagiarised Articles. The Article on how to report someone, which was clearly copied from the Wiki, was disgraceful, I couldn't believe that someone would copy and paste ... literally. Despite people getting upset at the Reporters, the Reporters were right to attack the Authors of the plagiarised Articles but they should not have spoken so generally. Not one Reporter showed sympathy to the people who didn't plagiarise. At the end, the final TWG team was probably the best. TWG was a pretty good group, we did pretty well, publishing almost 10 Issues but towards the end, people stopped publishing, which led to TWG being closed.

4. Special Mentions.

To me, I feel like the people who did not have plagiarised Articles, deserve a mention. The people were; Darren4Turbo, personia, KillerGnat, DestroyerPdox, Bigtimerush_bry and BlueDragon_tamki (excluding his first Article). Darren and personia were great Leaders, not forgetting BTR, too. Darren set the bar for Leadership, BTR continued it and personia really handled the plagiarism problems well. They need to be acknowledged because they were good Leaders and role models.

5. My Choices.

I feel like many of you would wonder why I left, I tried to explain it but I left not to run away from controversy but to just get away from all the stress. For me, deadlines became harder to stick to, due to a lack of time and I feel like I worked better, individually. TWG was a great learning curve for me and hopefully showed my potential and others' potential for hopefully, future Reporter Candidacy.

Thank you for reading this long Article, feel free to share your opinions below, I just wanted to share my opinions on TWG, I felt like TWG followers deserved to know some extra information. To all you positive TWG followers, I thank you, for you guys have fuelled our imagination, confidence and passion. To our haters, thank you for making us strive to do better, we can take some constructive criticism. And to people who decided to mock TWG making Articles to embarrass TWG, don't do it, it's not helping anyone, please stop with the ridiculous topics to mock TWG, we have done fairly well together, producing Articles much better than you may be able to write, so don't mock talent. Don't mock the hours we spend, trying to become a Reporter or Wiki Editor, you're not helping anyone, understand that. If there's one thing you take from this Article, remember that.

Can I barf please? My run-ins with the moderators have been correcting their bans and seeing their backstabbing conversations. Not all moderators are bad, but the ones I've run into aren't worth defending.

True, but when you see a moderator backstab you on Skype and then act professional with you with a ban. It's extremely aggravating.

But in all seriousness, this is good stuff by you, although the idea is similar to my pre-reporter article but the trends listed are different  I'll be looking forward to more, and you need to seriously consider applying for Reporter if you haven't already.

Oh, I've never seen such things. Tanki keeps those things hush hush if you know what I mean ...
