reloading hammer before all shots are gone.

I have had an idea to reload hammer before all the clips are gone.

this is the way it would work, If you take 1 shot just press "R" and the reload would only take 1/3 of the amount of time it normally needs to reload.

so hammer m0 is about 6 secs reload time. take 1 shot then reload and it would only take an estimated 2 sec if it was 2 shot it would take 4 secs

 

all feedback is welcome.

The point of Hammer having 3 shots to use is so that there is more strategy and thinking involved when using Hammer. Specifically, learning how to use the 3 shots wisely and efficiently. Imagine if you didn't have to use all 3 shots to reload. You could tape down the R key on the keyboard and never have to reload, bringing much imbalance to turret balance.

I wouldn't mind if this is implemented cuz my primary turret is hammer. ;)

Well, usually you need at least 2 shots to destroy a tank if not all three or even more than three. If you only needed two, you can just fire the third shot and begin the reloading sequence. If you only need one shot to destroy a tank, great for you, you have 2 more shots to destroy a Hornet of equal modification.

It's not that we don't think it's a good idea, it would be awesome to have this but there would simply be too much imbalance created if this were actually implemented so that's why we're not really encouraging it.

Hammer's reload is specifically made the way it is so that it becomes more difficult to play with and requires more thought and strategy to use. Besides, at the moment developers are very much against adding any more controls for guns (e.g. reload), since it will make the game more complicated.
