valid "Remember as I type" feature in battle chat

Hello!

This is simple. So whenever you are chatting during battle but you want/need to battle, you can write something like "/save draft" at the end of the text and it will save so that next time you want to chat, its already there and you can finish your thoughts.

Example: I am chatting then gold box will be dropped soon. So in the chat I put "/save draft" then enter and it says "Draft is saved". I then try getting the gold box and I do :P , so now when I press enter to chat, whatever I saved comes back and I can finish my thought.

ie doing CTRL+A to select the text, CTRL+X to cut (removes text and copies) then CTRL+V when typing again

 

Also the idea of adding a /save draft is a bit flawed (to my knowledge) since you would need another text/command box to enter it

Great idea, but I think it should do something like (for those of you who have used it) a terminal, where you can press the up arrow in chat to get the last said thing. This should ONLY work in battles to stop spammers, though.

Yes I've used copy and paste before. Its not reliable. With this new system it will be more reliable than copy/paste.

I've tried it once. I wrote a long message than I copied it. I later tried pasting it and nothing came.

Nope. I clicked the option to Copy and the option to Paste. Nothing was there. With this idea, no matter what it will save.

The current chat can only hold so much text before it rolls off. After a battle, if there is interesting text, I usually hit <enter> and TAB to get as much as I can and then PRTSCR. But you can only get the last part of the conversation if it was very active. I saved some that made me laugh at the time. Here is an example. Stuff was said earlier but it rolled off the screen:

Yeah good idea, but as someone said above, i'd just use copy/paste..

Wow, F1ASC0! This is a really great idea, in my opinion.  :ph34r: I think it may be buggy at first, but other wise great. I hate having to delete what I was typing because a G.B. starts dropping and have to restart.  <_< This would be a great feature!  :D

Or maybe use arrows to choose one from previous texts?

Cant type now, press enter, after gold, press enter, arrow up and you have your text ready. This will be much farster than trying to find beginnings of the text and typing /save
