Interview with Issho_Fujitora

Me: So let's get this interview going, shall we? Of course, welcome :)

@Issho_Fujitora: Thank you for calling me into this interview :)

Me: You're welcome! Wait a minute plz *puts on a fake mustache* Okay so can you present yourself a bit?

@Issho_Fujitora: Hello, I'm Issho_Fujitora, previously known as BarbaFenner89, you can call me Simone :)

I'm 22, University student of Nursing, 2nd year.

I'm usually seen and represented like this:

8a366eaf.png

Those that got to know me before I changed my nickname will surely remember that I actually look like this (I am on the left, @FederalBureauFBI on the right and our baby @joostcool in the middle):

61c743d0.png

Me: OMG that killed me right there xD  I wonder what would @FederalBureauFBI & @joostcool have to say about this.

Anyways, *calms down and drinks 3 glasses of water* How did you find out about this game? Did a few friends show it to you?

@Issho_Fujitora: I still remember the first day I discovered Tanki. It was a boring afternoon and I’d been playing some random PC game or other. I decided to roam the net in search of something new; an "online challenge" if you will.

A friend suggested Tanki Online, so I decided to give it a go. It had an old style interface at the time, and it was a bit hard to find the proper way to play and win due to the high level of skill of the players I was competing against. But I immediately found it challenging and realized this was something I could really sink my teeth into. Since then I’ve never looked back! I've now been playing Tanki Online since early 2011, and this year I will celebrate my 5th ‘In-Game Birthday’.

Me: You've been here longer than me because I started playing in late 2011. Maybe you can invite me to your 5th "In-Game Birthday" and I will see if I can make it there. *ahem* Well, well, well... I see forgot that you are a Wiki Editor Admin. Why did you want to become a Wiki Editor, why are you an admin now and do you have any other jobs (97.5% of players who are mods, reporters,... don't have more than one job)?

@Issho_Fujitora: I became a Wiki Editor in 2013, when no Wiki Editor group existed yet. I was one of the first Helpers to work on the Wiki at that time and worked directly under 's directives.

I became Wiki Editors' Administrator in early September, 2015. I've been an Admin for Tanki Online before, between March and November 2014 — Consultants' Administrator and Facebook Moderators' Administrator.

Currently, I've been an Helper since 2012:

Forum Mod

Chat Mod

Wiki Editor & Wiki Editors' Admin

Consultant & Consultants' Admin (past)

Facebook Mod & Facebook Mods' Admin (past)

Most Helpers have one single job related to Tanki Online, but some of us are able to support the project in more than one single field, thus allowed to work in different fields :)

Me: Wow that's a lot of jobs.

When did you find out about the forum and how do you like it then & now?

@Issho_Fujitora: I joined the Forum few weeks after I joined the Game and I always liked it as it was (and how it is). The forum is a really nice place, I'd make a few little changes to it, but it is great as it is — what makes it good are the users visiting it :)

Me: So how do you like being a Wiki Editor? Because you showed me the In-Game Mechanics topic in the Wiki and I found it quite useful.

@Issho_Fujitora: Wiki Editors spend their time proof-reading all the pages on the Wiki, as well as comparing their work with the work done by other communities' Wiki Editors: I am personally responsible of the communications happening between RU, EN, BR and PL communities related to Wiki pages. When one of the communities updates its Wiki, the other communities' Wiki Editors' Administrators (or Wiki Editors themselves) review the updates done and evaluate if they should do the same to their Wiki. For example, the «Video Blog» page was an exclusive of the EN Community, at first, but it was later used as an example for the RU, BR and PL Communities and, now, each of them have a similar page. When not proof-reading or monitoring updates/changes applied in the Game, Wiki Editors spend their time thinking of possible new articles and ask to their colleagues for opinions before starting to work on them: if their ideas are accepted, they can publish the new page. All of the above is done on a daily/weekly basis depending on the amount of tasks planned by the Administrators.

I, personally as an Administrator, take care of major articles and monitor fundamental pages existing in the Wiki since, as you are well aware, some of them are linked to in-Game items (for instance, all Paints, Turrets and Hulls contain a direct link to their related Wiki-page) — I must be sure that they are updated weekly :)

I'm also responsible for the EN Wiki and for what happen into it and in its group, I am in direct contact with Community Managers, Developers, Testers and all the other Wiki Admins of the other Communities, as well as with all the other EN Admins.

Someone may think that our Wiki is not so important or that it is easy to maintain, but there are many things that work fine only thanks to its existence :)

Me: Whoa! No wonder you are so busy :o and that's a lot of responsibility for all this work

Have you ever been in any clans and/or clubs before?

@Issho_Fujitora: I was in IC (Iron Clads) and TMM (The Mighty Midgets), but for a few weeks — my role as Helper for TO was too important and it required neutrality and equality towards other users and violators, joining a Clan could influence such things.

Me: Never heard of those clans before

About the jobs you have, why did you want three jobs?

@Issho_Fujitora: I did not "want" three jobs :)

My attitude towards my work, organization, seriousness and ability to manage different situations lead me to be involved into these jobs and get accepted into them (or asked to be part of).

I started with one single job, Consultant, but I was found as a great "source of help" and was asked to become Forum Mod aswell.

After that, some months passed and I was asked to become Consultants' Administrator and Facebook Moderators' Administrator alongside with @FederalBureauFBI — after becoming an Admin, I needed certain permissions and powers to manage Consultants and their job, so I was brought into Chat moderation field.

I did, as all other Chat Mods did, a candidacy period and was promoted to full Chat Mod (sounds easy, but it is not, believe me :))

Now, another part of my story related to the thing above: as you are aware, Forum Mods do not have ban powers (recently, they obtained Forum Warnings' powers), so the only possibility for Forum Mods to give appropriate punishments to Forum violators was to become Chat Moderators trained and specialized on Forum violations — , our previous Forum Admin, followed me for another period of "candidacy" and taught me how to do so.

During all of these months, I was working on the Wiki as an Editor, but no official group existed back then.

When Consultants closed, I already had left the game for my little vacation period (as I already wrote before) and had resigned from all my jobs.

As soon as I came back, during June 2015, I took back my previous jobs of Forum Moderator and Chat Moderator (in July 2015), but decided not to go back into Facebook Moderators' Administrator role again due to reduced amount of time back then.

A few weeks later (early August 2015) I joined back the role of Wiki Editor and a month later I was asked to become its Administrator :)

This is my story, pretty long, complicated, but should be easy enough to show you that, if you work hard on your plans and dreams, you can obtain anything!

Me: I agree with you on that part.

Well do you have anything else to add before we finish this interview, Judge Simone?

@Issho_Fujitora: Yes!

I want to thank all the users coming on the Game everyday, all the users that came in the past and those that will come in the future — you are the ones keeping this Community up and rolling :)

A special thank must go to you, @BlueDragon_tamki for being patient enough to read all what this noob has written ;)

Me: XD

Well have a nice day! And thanks for joining! :) ;)

@Issho_Fujitora: To you too :)

Will look forward to the interview!
