A couple of weeks ago we challenged you with a creative task — we asked you to build your own tank, using everyday materials and anything you could find.

 

We expected to see some cool entries… but you blew us away and completely exceeded our expectations!

 

You sent us photos of tanks made out of wood, food, metal, cardboard, playing cards, and all sorts of other stuff, and it was a real challenge to finally choose the top 3. But after many hours, we finally have our winners.

 

Please note that crystals and supplies will be issued today (April 8th) while hulls and turrets will be added on Monday (April 11th).

 

So, here are the top three entries and their rewards:

 

1st place: in-game equivalents of the turret and hull crafted by the author, both fully micro-upgraded and in the highest grade available at the player’s rank, plus 100 000 crystals, 100 of each supply, and 1 month of Premium.

 

 

2nd place: in-game equivalents of the turret and hull crafted by the author, both fully micro-upgraded and in the highest grade available at the player’s rank, plus 50 000 crystals, 50 of each supply, and 2 weeks of Premium.

 

 

3rd place: in-game equivalents of the turret and hull crafted by the author, both fully micro-upgraded and in the highest grade available at the player’s rank, plus 30 000 crystals, 30 of each supply, and 1 week of Premium.

 

 

The runners up listed below will get an in-game equivalent of the turret OR hull they crafted, fully micro-upgraded and in the highest grade available at their rank, plus 20 000 crystals, and 20 of each supply.

Tankers!

It’s been some time since we last asked you to craft something in Tanki. Let’s fix that right away! Please welcome our new contest called Craft-A-Tank, with fully micro-upgraded turrets and hulls in prizes!

To take part you need to:

• Craft any TO tank out of any material (physical materials only — no digital art in this one)
• Take a photo of your creation
• Post the photo on your Facebook, including your in-game nickname and the #tankicraft hashtag

ATTENTION: Without the hashtag we won’t be able to find your post, which means you won’t be participating in the contest. Also, make sure the post with the picture is visible to everyone on Facebook, not just your friends.

Rules:

• The tank model can be crafted out of any material and should resemble a turret+hull combination from Tanki Online.
• The photo must feature your nickname. The easiest way to do this is to write your nickname on a piece of paper and place it next to the tank you created.
• We recommend you take a number of photos of your tank from different angles, and put them all in the same post. This will make it easier for us to appreciate the originality of your creation.

Prizes:

• 1st place: in-game equivalents of the turret and hull crafted by the author, both fully micro-upgraded and in the highest grade available at the player’s rank, plus 100 000 crystals, 100 of each supply, and 1 month of Premium.

The authors of all the entries that don’t make it to the top 3 but still deserve recognition, will be rewarded with special prizes as follows:

The contest is being held in all language versions of Tanki Online. The list of winners will be common for all the communities.

Dates:

• Entries are accepted till 09:00 UTC on April 6
• Winners will be announced and rewarded on April 8

This contest engages the audience with Real Life activities and tasks, shouldn't the rewards be Real Life too then? For example a Tshirt? Crystals are great and all, but a Shirt would be a lot more rewarding and motivating to enter this contest,

Pressing the hashtag on Facebook will redirect you to a section of FB with all the posts with the same hashtag in. So this means, if all participants use that hashtag, all the judges have to do is press it and they will be able to see all the entries.
