Let's write a letter to Tanki... 

 

So not fair to this:

The authors of all the entries that don’t make it to the top 3 but still deserve recognition, will be rewarded with special prizes as follows:

In-game equivalent of the turret or hull crafted by the author, both fully micro-upgraded and in the highest grade available at the player’s rank, plus 20 000 crystals, and 20 of each supply.

look at what its says from Semyon then see what its posted below someone did not read the post correctly ..these players wont be getting the 20k that he claimed to say ..but they will be getting a little ..

And since we had so many more good entries, we’ve decided to reward them with 10 000 crystals each. Their nicknames are below:

I guess people who never intended to participate can't have an opinion of his own on this because he or she is not expected to know how dedicated we were while creating a tank (Some of us literally spent days on them). And TO should have been much more clear on how many entries they would consider as deserving recognition. Because none of us probably expected a mere 10 entries to be chosen as consolations. This is the complaint I want to put forward to tanki. It was your duty to make it very clear to us as to how many entries you wanted to reward which you never did.

This was a very unclear statement as to how many entries you would consider; it might be 5 or 500, and I don't agree that only 10 entries deserved recognition. You better have an explanation for this. I wasted 2 days ranking up just to reach lieutenant general (rank required for viking M3). I am not saying that my entry deserved recognition but if your statement was clearer I would have rather not wasted so many hours. And there were so many more brilliant creations which deserved recognition.

1. I never said I intended to participate. I intended to until I quickly found out how good my competitors are AND that not every entry will win.

2. I knew that many entrants would be dedicated but dedication isn't worthy enough to win, or else every American Idol contestant (especially the most dedicated ones) should end up winning instead of whoever ends up doing the best job even if they were the least dedicated.

3. You obviously were so jealous you never even read the LONG list below all the pictures...there were about 40 extra (I'm guessing that amount since I never took the time to count them) winners in addition to the about 10 consolation winners (which I also never counted for the same reason).

4. Based on Tanki's wording in THIS thread's first post, it appears that they rewarded far more tankers than they initially expected. This is probably due to getting far more entries than they expected. Regardless, if they had listed the amount in advance, then you'd have complained that they didn't reward more than they initially promised.

5. They said "deserved recognition". So those who didn't win may have done a great job but not good enough.

6. Reminder: I am not an official/unofficial mod nor an official/unofficial staffer of Tanki. I complain against them too about stuff.

Its good for u dear please read what we are discussing in that topic and then try to take part in that in discussion.. well if we people raise our voice against that.. then why u have a problem..

Anyway congratulations every winner and non-winners too (who now realize that they can create something out of nothing; even if TO thinks they don't quite deserve the recognition)...I cannot deny the fact that my girl and I had a great time making that tank together and thanks TO for giving us that opportunity.

 

I would request TO to think over this once more and try to be much more clearer about all posts in future.

no he copied the picture its the same one ..same with others there ..i'm starting to think this was a fake contest due to so many are not real and this way tanki keeps the crystals for there own pocket and not give anything to players who did win fair and square ..just go look at each one on full screen.. there is some yes who are real but so many fake are there..

Anyway my argument is not with you...so no matter how much you try and defend them it simply doesn't work. And yes, Canada never wins it's always Russia in TO so better change your name with 100,000 cry and you will have a better chance of achieving everything in this game.

Anytime anyone uses absolutist words without disclaimer words, that person is either trolling (being insincere in order to intentionally deceive others), or they don't have a good enough vocabulary in that language, or they are themselves deluded.

Again, I only defend TO when I perceive them as being correct. I go against them when I perceive the opposite.

Also, I only defend those against TO when the opposers I perceive as being correct. And I go against when I perceive the opposite.

The last few pages are hilarious to read, a lot of butthurt people. I see similar things when results of Newspaper contests come out. Everyone seems to thing their thing is the best, but that's kind of natural, what they can't seem to grasp is that they are not judging and the judging is subjective, not objective. The 'deserves recognition' is the equivalent of consolation prizes, and there is no way you would give a consolation prize to everyone who entered, especially in a contest this size. If that was going to be the case, it would have explicitly said so, and the consolation prize would be much smaller. So it seems some people need to grow up a little, and learn to take not winning a bit better, cause that's exactly how life is.

There's nothing wrong with that, they gave out their deserves recognition prizes, and then felt there were still more people who deserved a little something. Had Tanki stuck to the letter of what they said, they could have easily got nothing.

 

And BTW, I'm waiting for a certain reporter to  show up and defend Tanki.

 

Hint: He wrote an article saying he is leaving TO.

And that's exactly what's he's done, left. And he's no longer a reporter. (Yes, IK I haven't gotten around to removing his avie and powers.)

Either way, I already made a post that defended that tank and I explained why I defended it.

EDIT: but I failed to mention (which I now will) that the rules did NOT state that the crafted tank needs to be an ORIGINAL. This means that this person's tank is qualified to have a chance to win despite being a 3D sculpted version of a 2D drawn picture.

Well, I'm a little disappointed that I didn't win, obviously. I'm not really that upset because I didn't plan my hopes and dreams on it, lol. A little annoying to see that NONE of the winning entries were made of Legos though :(

Winner 5,9,13 and 16 didn't deserved at all. There were a number of better participants who could have won. Though the top craft seem to be good but I highly doubt its his/her own work. I have seen a number of people who could have deserved 20k crystals because there work is way much better than those who won. At least many entries you see on #tankicraft are their own work. I could have also won with the help of my elder or go to a local wood craft man and got my tank that original look but instead I worked all by myself using the available materials I have at home.

 

But as we can see the content is totally biased towards a specific community and this is a case of pure favoritism.

Taking inspiration from a computer drawn image and making your own real 3d version is not against the rules. Please show me the original picture that got photoshopped if it is a fake.
