go see the v-log video at 344 and you can tell fully that he or she did its the same thing...there is no way you can take the same shot with out other images in the photo also why is there not more photos in them only one when it clearly states in the rules they asked for more shots to prove you made it and it looks like most of these are fakes go check them out in full screen

a consolation prize to everyone who entered,  was to be 20k not 10 k to all...

Not everyone who entered was to be given a consolation prize.

And of those who were being given a consolation prize, only the ones who deserved recognition were to receive 20k.

Which means the ones who received 10k did not deserve recognition but were given it anyway.

The last few pages are hilarious to read, a lot of butthurt people. I see similar things when results of Newspaper contests come out. Everyone seems to thing their thing is the best, but that's kind of natural, what they can't seem to grasp is that they are not judging and the judging is subjective, not objective. The 'deserves recognition' is the equivalent of consolation prizes, and there is no way you would give a consolation prize to everyone who entered, especially in a contest this size. If that was going to be the case, it would have explicitly said so, and the consolation prize would be much smaller. So it seems some people need to grow up a little, and learn to take not winning a bit better, cause that's exactly how life is.

 

There's nothing wrong with that, they gave out their deserves recognition prizes, and then felt there were still more people who deserved a little something. Had Tanki stuck to the letter of what they said, they could have easily got nothing.

 

And that's exactly what's he's done, left. And he's no longer a reporter. (Yes, IK I haven't gotten around to removing his avie and powers.)

No, it states that of those who deserve it, those ones will receive 20k and recognition.

The 10k ones didn't deserve 10k or recognition, but Tanki was being gracious by giving them what they did.

There is clearly written 20k+mu to all deserving players.... As u said we peoples are not deserving which are not in list .. But what about that those people deserve

 they are not judging and the judging is subjective, not objective.

The judges (whoever they are) gave out prizes to all they thought deserving of recognition in the results.

It’s been some time since we last asked you to craft something in Tanki. Let’s fix that right away! Please welcome our new contest called Craft-A-Tank, with fully micro-upgraded turrets and hulls in prizes!

 

To take part you need to:

• Craft any TO tank out of any material (physical materials only — no digital art in this one)
• Take a photo of your creation

 

 to me this would say you had to make it not someone else and if this was so then anyone could have photo shopped any photo and put it into win this fake contest

I am sorry but I want to mention that there was always a loop-hole in that post regarding the contest which no one quite noticed. It was a very smart move by TO (writing that particular line).

 

Don't you understand why you people have received so many entries? Is it really beyond your imagination?

 

The authors of all the entries that don’t make it to the top 3 but still deserve recognition, will be rewarded with special prizes as follows:

• In-game equivalent of the turret or hull crafted by the author, both fully micro-upgraded and in the highest grade available at the player’s rank, plus 20 000 crystals, and 20 of each supply.

These are the lines which forced so many entries. All of us knew there was the slimmest of chances of winning this contest (coming in top 3) but all of us were very optimistic about getting the consolation. Once again I am NOT jealous and I am not at all worried about my own entry, but I have seen many entries out there which do deserve recognition. It's injustice, I am sorry to say that. The lines should have been different; top 10 or top 20 but not how it was presented in the post. I am not complaining about the ones who received the rewards and even about the judgement. They were all good and deserving, but there were many more who were deserving too. Any explanation for that?

 

Don't tell people to grow up a little because TO never made this game for "grown-ups only"; I am an adult and I am not talking for myself but there are thousands of kids playing this game and they worked really hard to make those tanks. You have just given them a false hope which resulted in nothing. Your post has been deceiving and this has really hurt these kids who have single-handedly popularized this game. They were so enthusiastic about this and yes they just wanted a prize, most of them are kids after all. Instead of 10 say if you had rewarded 50 of them, there would not have any complaint.

 

I suggest TO to please refrain from organizing these contests in future as the results have been utterly unfair. And if you really want to organize such events, please judge fairly and come out with proper results. Otherwise please DO NOT organize; we'll never complain about it.

Hello there is a player that cheated it guyst copyed the example that tanki made please he/she can't take the reward I em refering to KAKTYC11 please remove the reward.

the rules did NOT state that the crafted tank needs to be an ORIGINAL. This means that this person's tank is qualified to have a chance to win despite being a 3D sculpted version of a 2D drawn picture.

Dear sir,

The contest was held in a community where 65000+ people play, seeing that number we can say that the contest consisted of a well number of entries. Right, so out of those 15 or so were given the MU tanks, rest 40 people got 10k crystals. Very nice.

Now what about the rest of the people, do they not DESERVE recognition? Lets say they don't, then why is it that the vlog is dur and the results got late?

Another thing, you say that every tanker couldn't be rewarded, only the best ones got them, but if you would go in the entries you will find much better ones. Not mine, others too.

Another thing is that you being a commity member, call our view 'hillarious'? Are you serious, do the views of the player matter not to you, is it always the payers that you care about(sorry for the last part, it might be offending but these are my views, you can laugh on these too and tell me i am getting too serious). This shows that you dont care for the players, you say at the end, "thanks for participating" and over. No try next time, no be confident, NOTHING. Sir do you know what it takes to see that you are being ridiculed of, i am not a very sensitive person but still feel that the contest was just a formality to increase the number of players who are interested in the game, nothing else. Dont give me anything, but when i see the winners, i feel cheated for the others too, they worked too, many will leave, but it doesnt make a difference for more will join, new players to cheat. I request you to analise the results and the other entries and then i dare you to repeat that the judging was fair. But in the end i wont blame you, you r just following orders, you cant go against the game, you work for it.

I am the Reporter admin, I am not a formal employee of Tanki and I had literally nothing to do with this contest.

 

Yes, there is more chance of getting a consolation because there are more than 3 of them. Simple maths.

 

I have not commented on whether I think the judging is correct or not.

 

I am speaking to the people who have acted immaturely and know better. I am not talking to a kid who does not know better. And you know this how? You have spoken to all these kids in the 10 or so mins since my post?

But this tank that won a consolation prize was a sculpture, not a painting, nor was it digital art.

Yes, the sculptor got his/her inspiration from someone else's drawing/painting, but his/her work was a 3D sculpture.

Don't feel too bad about what I'm about to say. No, I'm not being condescending, nor am I about to be. My vocabulary skills aren't perfect either. I'm also learning things about my first language of English that need improving but so far it looks like yours is lacking in comparison to mine. But again, mine lacks in comparison to others. Either way, in this specific case you are wrong. Let's hope that when we make mistakes we learn from them. I don't always or as quickly as I want so hopefully you'll learn now regarding this one. What's to learn? To not assume things when reading anything and when one is not 100% certain what someone else means (like when Tanki posts its rules), to then ask a more knowledgeable person for their insight before making a decision on whether or not to participate...

Like I said, that phrase is used to mean consolation prizes. It's the same in the newspaper contests I run, there are many good entries that I would love to give a prize to, but I cannot and I have to pick a top 3. It's the same here. Don't take it completely literally.

 

Yes, having had a lot of experience, I find it amusing that people still cannot get this concept: "they are not judging and the judging is subjective, not objective." If players views did not matter to me, I wouldn't be spending my evening (when I could be doing other things) having a discussion in this topic. Again, I have not said whether I think the judging is fair or correct. And I'm my own boss, I'm not following anyone's orders.

i think there is a little mix up with us for one i'm fighting for the players they should have gotten 20k not 10 k and the postings if you go and look at each one separatly  you can see some of them are not done by them but are wall paper ..this is not fair to all the players who did work hard on making one and tanki chooses to take the fake wall paper pictures over players ..too me someone is trying to pull the wool over our eyes

Then you are saying in cryptics that the judging is not fair, but cant speak so as it is against your job, else u would have spoken that the results are fair.
