Tankers! April Fools day is almost here. Gold boxes are going to be dropped five times as often. Remember that the original drop probability is 1/10000 per crystal added to the fund. For three days, the probability is 1/2000 per crystal added to the fund. And even better, this works on all maps of the game.

 

So post pictures, celebrate, prank your friends, and have fun!

Fool Days celebrations are about to hit Tanki Online, and they’re definitely no joke.
 
For 3 full days, starting from 02:00 UTC on April 1st, till 02:00 UTC on April 4th, we’ll be having discounts on micro-upgrades and speed-ups, as well as a bunch of surprises in the form of gold boxes.
 
Here are the details:
 
Up to 100% off Micro-upgrades and 25% off Speed-ups
 
During the celebrations, the very first micro-upgrade step of any item will be at 100% off — that is, free. Every subsequent MU step will get 5% less discount. So step number 2 will be at 95% off, step number 3 at 90% off, and so on until you get to 20%, which is the minimum discount.
 
IMPORTANT: The “first micro-upgrade step” refers to the 1st upgrade step of an item in general, not the 1st upgrade you buy during the promo. So, if you have a Viking M1 that has never been micro-upgraded, the first micro-upgrade will be free. But if you have a Viking M1 with two micro upgrades already installed, your next micro-upgrade will be at 90% off.
 
Additionally, all Speed-ups will be at 25% off to make sure you can cram as many micro-upgrades as you can into these 3 days!
 
Gold Boxes
 
Fool Days will be showering you with 5 times as many gold boxes containing a number of cool rewards including:

• A stash of 1 000, 5 000, 10 000 or 50 000 crystals
• An additional two standard value golds dropped right after you catch the gold
• All supplies activated for 5 minutes (the effect remains even if you’re destroyed, but ends if you change equipment)
• 60 seconds of immortality (the effect remains even if you self-destruct, but ends if you change equipment or pick up a Double Armor supply)
• 1, 2 or 3 days of Premium Account
• A bomb that destroys all tanks near the drop zone. All the kills are credited to the gold hunter.

Important: Supply activation and immortality gold boxes are not dropped in PRO-battles where both supplies and drop boxes have been disabled. In all other cases, the drops work according to the promotion details above.

So, if you have any pranks to pull off, make sure you get them done before the Fool Days celebrations kick off, because at 02:00 UTC on April 1st, you’ll want to make sure you’re in the game!

The first thing I thought when it said that gold boxes not only contain crystals is that there will be a rare chance to get an invite code for Tanki X in a gold box. The question is - will the code be visible to everyone in battle (thus the quickest one to use the code gets access) or does it only show the code to the one catching the gold?

 

And also, what if you mess up taking a screenshot and lose the code? :D

I'm not so sure about this. Based on what they said, we might get supplies instead of crystals, that wouldn't be good. If we could get turrets though... :wub:

 

Maybe hours/days of Premium? Who knows, maybe we can even get Micro-Upgrades on our stuff. THAT would be awesome.

I can't wait! I'm so excited! gold boxes are going to be dropped five times as often so that day will be a total no-living one. I really wanted the celebrations to be as following:

• Not less than a 40% off or more for turrets & hulls.
• Gold boxes worth 5000 crystals.
• Contest such as a video fooling someone or doing something funny.

 

I really do hope that this sale will bring a lot of enthusiasm and fun to all tankers out there! :)

But look in the video they show in the v-log. The gold box looks normal. The staff are doing a good job of hiding things.

I think it's because they don't want to bother too much about censorship, so they rate it T just to make sure that people let their kids play it at their own risk and can't complain afterwards that children get traumatized by what they read in chat.

The only thing I can say is it's 2016, and will probably be 2017 by the time it's released. Typical modern day stuff. Ratings have gone up with time.

Hmm fishy... I mean, golds are dropping 5x more often... And in the V-Log they said that we should keep the gold boxes on in pro battles... Ye something is not right if tanki actually wants to make us catch golds :o :p
