Let's discuss April Fools Day gold boxes

are the gold boxes still worth 1k?? and is it only for april fool's day itself or for the weekend as well?

The gold boxes are worth 1000 as normal. They drop five times as often for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. As far as we know, there will be some sort of surprise with them, and there will be no discounts or any other celebrations.

I really enjoy the April Fools' day celebrations and the Halloween celebrations, the increased Gold Box dropping chance is excellent, and make Tanki so much fun to play.

2. You want a Gold - buy a Pro pass. Gold is destroying the whole meaning of a team - normal players should not suffer for a bunch of foolish gold hunters

3. Gold boxes provoke greed, intolerance, sabotage ... Gold is a denotation of what TO should not be - an arena where noobs and kids abandon their company duties and fight like mad dogs for in-game candies !

4. Experienced teams in random battles ?  Have not heard of such for the past few years ... thanks to the TO smart policy to make the game more and more noobs friendly !

 

TO must stimulate the teamwork and dedication to victory, to learn the foolish kids to integrity ... instead the devs twist the minds of the weak with items absolutely useless in a war game like TO !

Golds cause a thrill, 1k crys aren't much, but still, they cause fun and create a feeling of luck when you catch them ;) Fortunately, I don't see this at my rank, and mults are quite popular at higher ranks and by then I'm pretty sure you can afford 5k :) I don't see any other reasons to hate getting 1k in a matter of 30 seconds ;)

I was thinking "exploding gold box" for April fool...

 

The other thing that would be good, would be  box drops at ALL locations, but only one real - that would actually make it more luck, instead of "beat the scrum"

You are right, that Gold gives some thrill, but this is not essential for a game like Tanki ... it's really childish you see

 

Then, the huss is some 30sec indeed, but the gold-hunters actually wait on P for the whole round, until they hear the notification or leisuring around and shooting occasionally ... now, this is real sabotage !

 

Propass is not an option - nobody really plays such battles and these without gold are even less

 

 

One thing needs no discussion, though - Gold is not appropriate in team modes.

 

If this noobish item is to stay in the game, it should be either in a separate mode (say, all the fund goes into regularly or randomly falling golds) or Gold must be restricted to DM only !

 

Gold in team modes is no good at all, it only ruins the gameplay and should be removed, indeed !

From what i have heard, no random amounts of crystals. That was pretty entertaining last year, but this year will be better with 5x gold boxes.

As it was aready said, you can buy PRO pass and play with those, who have the same opinion as you do. You will always find some, and maybe there is a server, where most of these "non-gold players" gather. Gold is part of this game almost from the very start, and is enjoyed by many players. Zero team work? I bet in other games there are only disciplined, team based, etc. players. + gold box is often more a team work than undisciplined mad run.

Gold hunting - sabotage exists in team battles, in DM mode you play on your own, so beaing inactive just decreases you chances to win. In team battles sabotage is not allowed obviously, either use vote command or record a video, the 2nd one is more effective (moderator may not come :().

Regarding this Fools Gold topic, I can say that I am surprised by the number of inadequate posts here !

 

Does nobody really see what kind of a menace is this item to the essential principals of a primarily team-game like Tanki ???

 

Gold is wrong, it is absolutely and utterly wrong and looking at these noobish enthusiastic Gold-lovers ... I will only say:

 

 

As long as GOLD boxes remain in TO, every day will be FOOLS DAY !!!
