Battle replay link.

I am thinking that TO could provide some kind of battle replay where players could view that battle like a spectator and see things from different angles.

 

Actions of everyone in the battle are known and thus this makes things easier to judge & single out mults. In the replay we will know who's playing and who doesn't. Moderators will have a easier time if we can just send them the link of sufficient evidence.

 

The replay link can also reveal people chats to discourage profanity.

 

This idea probably needs refinement, but what does everyone thinks?

how is it gonna be visible i mean if a battle ends and disappears where can some one see the replay , and Thousands i mean thousands of replays of 15 , 30 and 60 minutes in each server it will be really hard for mods to see each and every one of them after all they have lives too ,but it still will be useful for normal people

I too have thought of this kind of an idea before and it seems too convenient if made possible, but there's are some problems:

1) An automatic recorder would slow down the server's performance and increase lags because another considerable part of server's bandwidth will be utilised in recording so many ongoing battles..

2) Where shall this all be stored? On servers? Transferring to another website? - Another reason for more of lags due to the 'load' of storage or transmission of data..

Replay should be available right after for 2x the duration of the battle and then is automatically deleted. There should be an option to download the recording. Only one spectator view is needed.

Yes,I was actually thinking of this. Perhaps the data could be stored temporarily on a delicated/seperated server or through external parties. In this way, it wouldn't take too much space on the main ones?

 

The download option could be placed at the page of the battle scores?

 

A report button can be added so that the video can be sent to relevant authorities.

 

Perhaps the replay video won't be available online for viewing but only accessed through downloads?
