There used to be an option to give dislikes but there was never such an option to dislike profiles. Besides #SpreadLoveNotHate

If you want the dislike button to be back, that means that you want the 'downvote' button back...which makes no senss of changing the vote system....and also, ideas regarding reversal of update are not accepted, be it game or forum...

Then came an update to add downvote and upvote buttons.

So if downvote was an update, who accepted idea to remove it?

Okay, so here's the answer: ;)

Devs implement updates after having a close look at it's effects and outcomes...

And if you have ever studied 'management in business', you might be knowing that people have a tendency to resist changes and business needs to change to fit in dynamic environment ……

You might be remembering that when major updates in Tanki were introduced, they had a lot of resistance (like more than 300 down votes), but now? See those resistant people have become habitual of it...

So to avoid the I&S suggestion section been flooded with ideas of reversal of updates, they made that rule...this enables the management to save time by not bothering such ideas and focusing on good ideas, as now those ideas get readily closed

 

And if a particular update is actually not gonna work, then they have to change it back...but that's a rare possibility...

And even if such cases arise, then it automatically comes in their notice and it does not require any topic...

So you see why such ideas are not accepted?

:lol: I honestly don't get what can we actually gain from implementing such an update? Just because there is a like button, it doesn't mean a dislike button must exist too(take FB for instance, the biggest social media website ever). 

 

If you think this would aid in understanding someone's reputation, you're wrong. Players can view the amount of "Likes" he/she has and can get an idea of what this guy/gal's reputation is. Plus we don't really have a strong use for reputation as players. Admins might need it, but use the same way to check one's reputation as a normal player would. ;)

You didn't read the topic, did you? :rolleyes: It's not about disliking posts, it's about liking or disliking a person's profile. Since it hasn't existed, it's not suggesting the reversal of an update.

It would be redundant. Adding the like/dislike feature will just create problems, that's just my opinion.

I should well imagine that this proposal has been made for purely negative reasons.  Some poor person will be inundated with dislikes.  It will be used to bully people including children.  It is a very bad idea!

Hi. This feature exists but we disable it on purpose for the very reasons discussed above. This is the internet, home for trolls, haters and sheep who just go with whatever the troll overlords say.

 

Don't like someone? Fight him/her off in a duel, or just ignore. Alternately you can always send someone some of those and move on :
