Tell me what I am lacking in for a crested? I post less? Is that the reason?? Then I need to increase my post count. I usually see all the posts 15 mins after they are posted but I don't feel any need to reply so I keep my mouth shut to prevent spam. I held so many trainings till now. I was holding them since the time I joined. I also join trainings held by others. I have all idea of game rules(read them 5-6 times till now) . Please direct me what I am lacking in and I will improve it.

As Gnat said just a few posts above this, it's less about you being a suitable candidate or not (because yes, you would fit the role.) and more about many people who are also suited to the role. Additionally there's always the question if we even urgently need more Crested Dragons in the first place in case someone awesome comes soon, or if we just flat-out shouldn't make a hasty decision that doesn't technically need to be made quickly.

To share a bit of my story ...

I don't believe I ever asked to become a Crested, nor did I ask much of what it was about until DoS appointed me.  When there was an open spot and some of the Cresteds or Talons put my name forth as an option, all I could do was say thank you for your confidence in me, and also mention the other people that I would support.  Now, with that said, I would sometimes PM our FearlessLeader with ideas or comments or suggestions or where I thought I could help.  But not to say "pick me, pick me". 

 

Let me relate that to the real world and work also...

When I first started working, I looked at all the others beside me and thought - boy ... these are my competitions.  Sort of true.  But I'm starting to realize there is no competition, nor right and wrong.  Hard work and effort, combined with right time and place, knowing and helping the right people, and a little bit of luck.

Companies are like pyramids.  If 10 people start working every year, only 7 will be managers in a few years, only 3 will be executives in ~10 years, and only 1 person will be the boss.  And there isn't a new boss every year, so that's only like 1 person out of 100 (or 50,000 depending on the size of the company).  It's pretty rare to make it all the way to the top.  You need to do what you think is right, what you enjoy, what you are good at.  In the right time and place, it can be appreciated.  In other places, it may not be.  But things are constantly moving - the patterns and relationships are fluid.

There is no easy one answer.  Just do your best and be yourself.  Karma - good things (or bad) will come.
