So, yeah, I have a really big dilemma, and thought I should get other peoples' opinions.

 

I am considering applying for Wiki Editor, but am not sure about it. My main concern is the amount of time I'd have to devote, seeing as I am in school. Should I do it? I almost applied yesterday, but then thought it over.

To quote our great overlord Shia LaBoeuf (may his name be praised), "JUST DO IT!" I'm also at school, in G.C.S.E. year (2nd hardest year), and i literally just applied to FB moderator. Am gonna apply to reporter and wiki when i get around to writing the non-fiction piece, and will appaly for battle mod when I am old enough/get brigadier rank.

 

In summary, do it... wiki is pretty comprehensive anyway, not that much to do...

My one piece of advice is think through this logically. It isn't a commitment easily taken on, isn't an easy commitment to fulfill, and isn't an easy commitment to back out of. Make sure that you really want to do it and have at least probably 1-2 hours of spare time per day that you would be willing to fill with this role. If it takes less than the allotted time, then great. If it takes more time than you have available, your're screwed.

 

I would say don't do it until you know you have time. Wait till the summer or something, or till you have a long break, if you are dead-set on being an Editor ASAP. This way you would join while you have a lot of spare time, and could become acclimated to the environment. This would hopefully allow you to find out how long your responsibilities take and allow you to schedule your day fittingly for during school.

1st of all, I haven't seen you around in AWC, which means the Reporters don't know who you are and haven't seen a large amount of positive work. That would make your chances a lot better. I can already tell you that you will probably not be accepted unless you are a genius with words and speak gold and silver into the air. A single article from someone out of nowhere is unlikely to work. Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh.

 

Anyways, gl with the 2nd hardest school year and your other roles you applied/are applying for.

Thinking of applying for job of EN reporter...

 

Tips/ideas for non-fiction works wd be much appreciated... currently thinking of either suggesting a wasp+smoky format, or review of a map+tactics...

 

Advice for your article submission for the Reporter Application? Think of something as original as possible. Then think up of an even more original spin on it. Then write words that are smooth and work together, being grammatically perfect and getting every one of your points across in an easy-to-follow way. Next, format your article. Make sure you have a title banner, pictures, sections, and etc. If you want to look professional, you can have a little image for a signature. You want it to be as perfect as possible, since you are essentially starting from nothing here.  :P

 

 

I would say to try writing for and posting in AWC first. Its a good way to get some feedback, improve writing skills, and make the reporters notice you a bit more.  ;)

Okay, I guess everyone wants me to reapply. Well, here goes.

 

I Am In This Clan

1. Time zone-still utc-5.

2. My favorite position is multing midfield/defense. Still.

3. My favorite combo is the old viking (may you rest in peace, my friend) and Thunder. Fire/viking is pretty fun, as well as Thunder/Mammo. Might get hunter soon...

4. Favorite maps? Ehh...Rio, Polygon, Lost Temple, and Silence.

5.a. I used to be in this small group of people called the Happy Dragons. Don't know if you've heard of them, but...

5.b. I left because my timezone didn't allow me to play and train with them. Fortunately, I hacked the Matrix and can play with you guys now.

6. What was the question again? Oh, right. I want to join because DDoS told me to Domination Series exists. And because I spam this page so often I might as well make it official.

7. I am good with Thunder, know how to use my hull, and for the most part know how to react to different battle situations. #ShamelessAdvertisement

8. No capes Skype. Or at least, not yet.

9. Other accounts that are not small and actually have a future are TTKsDruggingAlt and TTK_578, the latter of which is unused for the most part. Made some stupid buying decisions, not going to make the same mistakes.
