Has anyone purchased the TWINS - Plasma Core Accelerators - for 50,000 crystals?

I'm just wondering - would this Alteration be better than putting 50K into Twins MU upgrades ... which takes days to wait for .. ?

Or skip both? 

 

Min Rank to get M3 kits (all 400K+ crysx) is LtGen (3 gold stars) at 787,000 experience.  At 380,000 exp now (Captain - need to work through 6 more ranks), I'm not even half way there, meaning I've got another 6 months at least of sticking with my current M2 kit (or picking up some other turret/tank options for fun).

 

Thoughts from the experienced pros?

EDIT - or do I save crystals for any Xmas 50% sales to get new turrets (Thunder / Isida) / light hull (Hornet)??

I don't think you should MU your Twins, maybe the first few MUs, and definitely not w/o a sale. I don't think the alteration is particularly worth it in general especially if you don't have a bunch of extra crystals lying around, since it's not intended as a performance enhancer but just for a different gameplay style. If you wanna play on larger maps and you wanna continue to stick with Twins until M3 ranks it *might* be worth looking into though. 

 

I think I'd get maybe another turret or hull M2 on sales, or possibly a kit (with a useful module) - don't get Isida though (not very good right now..), and don't get a light hull unless you're planning on getting both a turret and hull, since Twins isn't the best with light hulls.  

 

I am neither experienced nor am I a pro, but that's my advice lol  :P

Thanks Bas.  I know Newbie and DoS have played Twins / Minotaur before - maybe I'll see what they say too... 

But ya, once I get up to 10MU, probably best to wait for sales, each one gets pricey!   Will skip the Alteration for now... 

I like the idea of an M3 Thunder/Hornet, also so I can start more parkouring with some of our mates.

On a side note, when I can next afford it, do you guys think I should purchase Smoky M2, Hornet M2, Wasp M2, or a protection module? Smoky would fill a turret gap that I don't have filled right now, Hornet or Wasp M2 would let me play Xp/Bp and participate in more clan format battles, and I really want a protection module for Thunder soon. My best one right now is Metallic.  :ph34r:
