same here....basically what i do is press tanki online on toolbar and then press to go 1 page back, it automatically connects to the game where you had green screen, but this time you can play, something like refreshing page i think!

 

but the green screen thing is really dumb.

Yes this is happening to me way to often. I wish there was some solution to it. Maybe that will be something new about 2.0, better connection.

While I kind of agree, I also feel like a game thats been around for like what 1.5 or 2 years or more, that seemed like they had lag / connection problems fixed suddenly have gone backwards. MANY have had these same problems and have had smoke blown up their a** about clearing cache, cookies etc even though it has not fixed it. Keep in mind Tanki charges REAL money for upgrades etc and as such should have the same responsibility to deliver a reliable product as any other commercial software company.

 

I think most will cut them some slack, its a fun game. But that won't last forever and eventually people will move on if it remains buggy or laggy or disconnects like it does. I dont see any "we know we have problems, please bear with us and here is some free crystals for being a good sport about it" comments from the developers!

I am pretty sure the game is not the issue. I think it is proximity to servers.

 

I am sure there are far less issues for russian players than US based players.

 

I have set up a log in the General forum. Once the standard server for pinging has been established you will be able to publish your results in there.

 

If all of the servers are centrally located and not dispersed geographically, these things will happen.

 

 

That is why gameplay is usually much better in the evening for US players because asian/european traffic has subsided.

1) I stand corrected about Meat being a Mod here, just as happy he makes maps:)

 

2) I never said you HAD to have 30,000 crystals, I simply pointed out that it is virtually impossible to earn that many unless you play 24/7. It is also way too expensive to the point of stupidity to charge what they do. My point, if you read it, is that he said DONATE, which is bullsh*t, you either EARN them or BUY them. As for 30,000, I pulled that out of thin air, but I have played for a year now and seen MANY MANY people with combos like m3 tanks and m3 weapons with great paint. For example, Hornet m3 + Rico m3 + Python = 56450 crystals!!!!! That means someone has to EARN that many (which is not impossible, just VERY unlikely since it means earning 155 crystals per day, every single day of your life, for an entire year WITHOUT wasting ANY on anything else at all! I cannot imagine what it would cost to BUY that combo ( I estimate around $375) , since I have a m2 hornet (earned) and it says I need 10579 more crystals to upgrade and can BUY it for around $74. $74 for just ONE upgrade of my just my one tank!

 

Games like STALKER or Crysis cost like $50 the day they come out and you OWN them, not HUNDREDS of dollars.

 

Make no mistake, I like Tanki and hope it does well, but I take exception at the fact that Phantom Meat came on here to tell me they don't charge a dime, and you can "donate" - NO, YOU can Earn for free or you can BUY, end of discussion.

 

The math is simple dooood:

 

m3 Hornet = 17800

m3 Riccochet = 26650

Python paint job = 12000

Watching people snipe my post and FAIL = priceless

Oh, and back ON topic - The lag still persists, but the connection problems seems to be getting better last 2 days or so. eessydo has the right idea, but I think the fact that all servers are centrally located in Russia is just bad planning. Decentralized with geographically diverse co-located servers is the way to go, or better still, have games be served or hosted on the machine of the person who starts the game. Add the ability for players to see ping times in the games list and the problem takes care of itself. Just my 2c

In my opinion the cost of the upgrades are really exagerated prices.

 

When I level up I never can get the Crystals that I need to put the tank apropriated to that level, so when I go to the battles cant get the tank to duels with other tanks and I allways have to choose team battles because when i am alone I lose most of the times.

At team battles its hard to make it when we are battling agaisnt Twins guns, that kind of weapons allways win.

twins is not invincible. I beat almost all twins with my firebird.

The prices are pretty nice right now, Nearly everyone can earn enough for an M2 of a tier 2 Weapon or Tank. The only reason to keep the price high for Tier 2's M3 Upgrades was to stop people from getting everything M3.
