The Mystery of Madness

So, is it just me, or do you land more often on your tracks on madness?

I'm talking about when you are playing with light hulls. For me, it seems like I almost always land on my track (when I don't majestically plunge into the chasm underneath the map). It seems like 1/6 of the time I should be landing right side up - but it seems like 1/6 of the time I don't land right side up. Share your thoughts.

(Again I am speaking of light hulls)

@Flaming_Death49: it's just the way you fall from the platform....light hulls do more flips and land balanced, while heavy hulls don't even do 1 complete flip, they always need support of some turret with impact force...

@fordmustang12345 and a7x_Pedro48: I hardly ever SD in the air....maybe you people lag, and that's what makes you flip...(unsure)

Nah I land perfectly while playing on Madness. Unless a noob PRO railgun shoots at me while I am jumping

 I know how funny it feels to shoot others..(rofl)

...and how outrageous it feels when you get shooted

:P

Whenever I use a heavy hull in madness I land on my tracks every time because if you just drive off slowly, not at full speed, the you do one complete flip and land it like a boss :)

When I use light hulls I don't jump, I just equip rail, drive halfway down the ramp and start shooting everyone that jumps off :)

Yeah, that again matters according to the height you've jumped...if you jump from a higher place, you'll land safe, but if you jump from the middle, you won't be able to...

As for light hulls, you can always land on tracks from wherever you jump, and a turret with impact becomes the icing on the cake...

All depends on the way you fall, you see?

:)

If I jump really slowly from the lowest point on teh higher levels then I can land safe every time, the trick is to literally stop, just as you start going over the edge, this will make you do a full flip and land safe even from teh lowest point, from higher places you can just drive off at full speed and land on your tracks.

Its not about the height guys... <_<

Madness is my favorite map, and I've figured out the anti-cheat. You cannot shoot in the air with Smoky or Thunder. Everything else should be fine. It is best to rotate your hull in the air. You'll land on your tracks 90% of the time. For heavy hulls, teer over the edge, and do a flip.

PLAY ON MADNESS MORE!

What he said, with light hulls just turn as you go over teh edge, and you'll just do a spin and land fine as long as there are no holes :P

It should be 50/50 if your jumping is truly chaotic and random. Are you actually trying to land on tracks when you jump off, or are you just driving off the top in a random way? Even with guns like Firebird you can figure out a particular technique for jumping for that you land the jump 90% of the time.

Well, Shifu ( ^ ) is right. You can make the landing with energy turrets (Firebird, Freeze and Isida) if you rotate your hull in flight in the direction in which you are falling.

But the false positive of the anti-cheat is really annoying. I missed like, literally 50 golds because of this -.-

^Uh Madness can get CRAZY funds, especially in CTF. I'm a gen who likes to use supplies, so I understand that funds may be lower in lower ranks, but in an intense drug battle, funds can reach 10-20k in a 30 min battle. Its on par with poly cp. The problem is getting players to drop down and get into the action.

To ALWAYS get to the lower platform safely no matter which turret you have, rotate your hull in mid air with light and med hulls, and do a flip over the edge with heavy hulls. Make sure you look below before you jump ;)
