Forum Problem

I seem to have a problem with the forum. I cannot seem to "quote" someone else. When I press on quote, no gray box appears in my messaging like it usually does. I don't understand the problem.

Are you using mobile or is the issue occuring even if you're visiting the forum through PC?

You can try to use the following code. It is an old quote code, but still quotes a post just fine.

[quote name="user" post="id"]
TEXT
[/quote]

In the 'user' type the nickname of the player you're quoting and to find the post ID, click on the post number, get the post link and copy the last 7 digit number. Or simply hover your mouse over to the post number, right click and click "copy link address". The 7 digit number will be the post ID, present after the topic ID in &p=(ID no) form.

This is a temporary solution though. In order to fix it permanently, try clearing your browser cache or refreshing the page.

How your quote would look like:

Thank you for the command. A bit of a long process, but better than nothing.

I do use PC, not mobile device (usually), and I have tried refreshing the page. I also clear my cache frequently for Tanki-lag purposes, but haven't tried clearing it right before I use the forum. I may have to do that, I don't know. Let me try it:

Said a lot of good information

That didn't work. I put your name for user and everything. (Did I need quotation marks like you had above?)

Another problem occurred. When I copied the 7 digit number of your post after clicking on the #2 (CTRL+C) CTRL+P wouldn't work. I'm not sure why. I know this isn't a problem on my computer because I then pressed CTRL+P into a new tab, and it pasted what I had copied. I also couldn't paste after I had copied your entire response (in order to put your response as the "text"), into this forum chat box. I then pasted into the new tab which showed everything I had just copied, but it wouldn't paste here. I'm not sure why, so I just put "Said a lot of good information" as "text"

The quotation marks aren't necessary.

Is it a trouble with pasting? You can use the alternative way of pasting text through your mouse.

Highlight the text>Right click>Copy>Paste

Also, please quote a post and click on the BBCode button present on the top left corner of your reply control panel and post a screen of the reply panel here.

For some reason (I think because I very recently cleared the cache as you suggested), it's begun to work again as you see above! Thank you I.Operative, I appreciate your tone and generosity. If it ever stops working, I'll just clear my cache again. Again, thank you.
