What is a noob and what is a pro.

but some "experienced" players just brag all the time, and when they finally win, then - no matter how good they played - they just go "xaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxxaa - ez!!" (even if they were 3rd of 4 in Sandbox, have less score then the 3rd of the loosers team, and therefore have no reason at all to call a game easy).

That's... such a childish and immature attitude, that I honest can not call them "pro".

If such players are in my team I sometimes ask them to stop bragging.. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But at least I tried :P

Actually sometimes experience is also about pushing your enemy to knock off his aim, purposely trying to flip enemy tank, obstructing his way so that your teammate can safely take the flag, warning your team about incoming enemies, dropping flag and letting teammate capture if you're low on health etc.

Each of these may be sufficient to increase your flag lead by 1.

All these do not fetch you points, but still make you a pro player.

For me, the noobs in Polygon CP are those who sit safely a million miles away from the point, have no intention capping it, just camp and take shots at enemy.

Also if people chat too much about unrelated stuff, and I see their tanks still in the game, while they are busy typing in the chat.

Of course it help if such people are in the opposite team :)

That's how you're supposed to play with Thunder. I like to think of it as playing a support role, using splash damage to weaken the group of enemies so a teammate with Firebird can clean up and easily capture the point. I do cap the point sometimes, but only if there's no teammates around to do so.

Yes, but some people refuse to cap points even if it is risk less.

It is a good idea to camp close to the point, when your team has it, but when the opposite teams has the point, you should make every effort to jump in and take the point, even if you have thunder.

Agreed. It is always better to secure your chance of winning rather than taking risks even if the risk is low. Better capture all the 9 flags and leave the last one than cap 2 and think that no one will join. A Clan or a drug squad might join and you done. Not worth the risk in my opinion.

A noob is someone who leaves their team just because they're losing and switches to the other team. I hate when people do this, I always make sure to target them if they're on the other team.

My definition of the work "Noob"

1. A tanker who screams into the chat: Admin gold plz

2. 5 yr old who spams RK.

3. People who say "im so pro" in the chat.

4. People who fight for the flag (we all have done this people. Admit it)

5. People that don't turn their turret at Master sergeant or higher

6. The noobs that I detest the most are daters. TO ISN'T A DATING SITE FOOLS!!!

7. People who jump hack and think they can get away with it. You'll get caught...

8. People who are buyers. No, I'm not talking about Gbox buyers, I'm talking about crystal and kit buyers. For me: buyer = 0 skill whatsoever

Also, stop saying that teens are noobs  (1-12 yr olds are another story, however)

It really comes down to the personal preference, no? There is nothing that states what a "noob" and what a "pro" define. Personally I think that most players is a bit harsh when it comes down to judging other players. The word "noob" is very common and it's spread around all ranks and servers. Try not to judge a book by it's cover ;) or... a tank by it's paint?

Me : Pro

You : Noob

Jk

I guess it is outlined by the general statistics of gameplay and how one does in different situations, a noob would simply go around and push people with the hope of achieving amusement at them raging when they get flipped.

A true pro... Dunno.

This question is more of like a circling, endless opinions of posts one after another since each and everyone of us has his/her own explanation of what actually Noob is and what is not. And the strength of this argument is that if you accept its two antecedents, it is well constructed and fairly conclusive.

My 2 cents are the following:

  • Noob: Noobs, are those who know little and have no will to learn any more. They expect people to do the work for them and then expect to get praised about it, and make up a unique species of their own.

  • Pro:  More experienced, learned from mistakes and never does the same mistake again I guess, I mean what is pro is clear as the day light so I don't think there is a problem for this question.

And lastly but not least for those out there who are saying that noobs are those who have less experience, personally I would disagree with you and reason is because noobs and a newbie/newb are completely 2 different things and many still mix between the two of them here and there and they are not the same thing. Newbs are actually those who are new to some task or whatever it is and are very beginner at it, possibly a little overconfident about it, but they are willing to learn and fix their errors to move out of that stage so they are different.

Hello guys. We have normal players and clan players (mostly with hornet and railgun).

But why are there not groups for another group of legend players? So let's start here

What are pro players?

This players are good and trained on one combo (like viking - thunder or wasp - smoky).

They can beat the battles (without drugs aswell- it doesn't matter), and they are playing with high lvl teamwork.

Well, let's share everything what you want to post, and ask everything you want!

Profs:

(All prof players will be posted here)

another defenition of "noob" . Some high-rankers laughing at low-rankers and starters ...and the fact is that that low-ranker can beat the high-ranker ... it actually got nothing to do with word"noob". but in this generation . it the second type and defenetion of "noob" , and means a person is showing-off about something he's inpro on someone and think he is the best on it . that the "noob number 2" . :P . Think about it .

isn't that discrimination against low ranks which is against the rules in tanki.

Noob:

-overused word, occasionally used in situations of raging between teammates of enemies, i.e 'M2 Noob leave'

-or to show what a player hinks of your current combo or profile.

-Low KD apparantly means that you're a noob. I know that KD means nothing as much.

-Not using full controls would make you seem like a noob, i.e not turning turret.

-Having 0/X MU's on an m3 item where the first MU is very relatively cheap could be seen as a noob.

-Incorrect or misuse of supplies could be seen as a noob, i.e using a repair first then equipping double armor.

-Has poor team chemistry

-Missing every shot

-Continuosly flipping, or falling out of bounds

-A Novice or a player who doesn't know much about the game and it's mechanics.

Pro:

-A gold-dropper is a pro (ignore this, this is a huge lie)

-Having a full m4 garage (ignore this too, MU's can be bought, doesn't make you a pro)

-Using supplies wisely

-Landing all shots consistantly

-Has a vast knowledge of the game and game mechanics.

-Studies item statistics

-Can adapt between game situations, being able to defend and attack when required.

-Has great team chemistry.

-Doesn't rage

-Doesn't need hacks or mults to win

-Isn't arrogant, a real pro never calls themselves a pro as they always want to improve and always are determined to get better.

-Can increase team spirit and inspire people.

-Isn't afraid to leave a one-sided battle even despite knowing that they may not win but they can still display sportsmanship and give the enemy what they have got.

These are my opinions, they are by no means factual statements.

In the end, if someone calls you a noob, don't get hurt or offended, it is a mere word that is just overused. Just keep playing and most importantly have fun, this game isn't a life or death situation that if you lose once you will be forever broken.

Noobs are people who ask you to leave for no reason, especially in XP.

I know there are more kinds of noobs than that, but I'm not gonna make a list here.

IMO they just want someone to leave because they have a friend outside (or if he/she is an M2 :p ) Edited by Cyborg
