... What about this boy, who will enroll as a Russian army conscripts?
He is not ditching his account, he will come home, after getting discharged from army, with the desire to have his mother's food and play tanki before getting a job but for his disappointment, he will find out, that his girlfriend had left him to one of his friends and tanki has given his handle to one of his enemies.

I wonder which betrayal hurt him most!?

One year is simply not enough. Not just because the KGB could kidnap you and keep you a hostage for a year and a day because they want your account, of crouse.

Consider this: two players at the same rank. One bought crystals once upon a time to buy a desired kit. The second had been working like an elderly donkey in a hot summer's day for months until he'd earned the same sum. Which account do you think should stay? Depends on who you're asking, i suppose. But i (hope, at least) believe that any of the Tanki's devs who've been here for a while, would agree that one year is simply not enough by its own before offering their account for sale (or its name, but the name is what makes others knows that it's you, right?). And to be honest, most of the generalissimos are buyers anyway, so those who really need the one-year-period are those of us who are at lower ranks, but have spent so much time earning crystals and experience in game. I really think that the system for making a username available should also consider the time spending in the game and crystals earned, in addition to one's rank.

You both completely misunderstood how this works. The account will not be wiped out, it will not be deleted — the only thing that will change is its nickname, nothing else will change. Nicknames are often reserved and kept on Recruits' accounts, this is completely not fine!

Think about new users willing to play Tanki Online — they want a cool nickname and they can't pick their favourite one since it is used by a Recruit account that never played since 2011, they may leave the Game completely due to this and that is also why this system was implemented.

Cedric is the new EN Community Manager after Semyon has left us 2 weeks ago.

For your second question: no. To change your nickname you still have to pay 100'000 crystals.

If you wait the needed time for your account to become inactive you won't be able to change its nickname for free, that is not how it works. You will have to wait for months, then ignore the email (if any) you receive notifying you of someone trying to reserve your nickname, then your account will be renamed — only after these events you may contact the Tech Support to rename your account (for free).

No, sorry. If you can't create an account, I already told you the reasons for. You may contact them to get information on WHY you can't register, but not ask them to register an account for you :)

This is only useful for little kids who want their idols' nicknames, and for those who want pathetic nicknames like The.Monster, The_Beast, Gold-Hunter and so on. Just choose a nickname that means something to you and defines you. If you choose a nickname that means something to you and it's taken, then it means it's not so personal. I can say, my nickname is personal and I wouldn't trade it for anything, it's suitable for me and I don't expect anyone to try to create an account with it. People have tried to mock me for it, but it just makes me laugh, since they have something like Best_At_XP or King.Of.Tanki. Do you know how many of those are there? Loads, and I mean LOADS. That doesn't define you, if anything, it makes you look like a self-adoring punk who is thirsty for attention. Of course, you can run out of ideas, since there are so many players here, but just try to have some imagination.

 

And tanki is still working on such things while people are asking for auto changing system when entering an xp battle, balancing, more product kits, lag solutions ans so on...
