If gold drops, block the timer

This is my another suggestion.

Its really annoying when there is auto finish simply because there arent players in battle and battle ends when gold drops. I wish if times is under 1 minute while gold is dropping, it simply stops itself until someone gets gold. In my opinion this looks more like bug but i would really like to get a fix for this.

well if we can give it more time and yea when gold drops it should stop or add time to resume play and then if still no players then count down again..good plan i hope tanki hears you

A lot of people came up with a possible solution for not missing Golds but I think this is the best one IMO.

i think so too ..i know they use to have it dropped in the last few minutes but with advise we got it to change to last 2 minutes or more

so it drops within play time ..i know they can do something ..cause i can't stand it when gold is dropping and cp counts down to the final mark this is also a issue next to players capping flag when it drops and that is a players fault for doing it ..i have done it in my time and yea its embarrassing and hurts cause you never forget it

Nope annnnd no... 1 minute can make a huge difference in score, people will eventually go for it and if the guy who did most for the team (ie, the guy with the highest score) ends up losing last min then... Let's just say I'd be really annoyed <_< and what about flag or CP caps?

Oh I didn't take care of that... Maybe freeze score and make flags unable to capture and make all kills don't count if timer is less than minute?

Good suggesrtion, effectively eliminates alot of bad trolltages :lol:

Oh, oh I think my suggestion for golds would be abuse for battle fund, this is my final idea. If gold drops make timer go normally, make battle finish normally, but if gold was falling just keep it in data to fall in next round.

Happened several times to me. Auto-finish ends the round automatically after the timer ends even when the gold is dropping. </3

 

Temporary disable of such a feature while GB drops would be great.

Yes. Gold is already making a difference in close battles. Some people prefer to capture the point or a flag during Gold, because most of the people are distracted by the Gold. So, imagine a timer freezed for 40 seconds, it can make a big difference as you said. The best thing is to make something about the Gold mechanism, making it unable to fall when there is only 30 seconds on the timer. It will not work for pro battles with no timer (999 CP or 999 flags). But still, it would be nice.

I understand your plight, but this is not the solution.

 

My idea is, instead of gold falling (in the last 45 seconds), 1k crystals is just added to the fund. It would go to all of the players, but the crystals that come from them would still come.

It takes roughly 45 seconds after the siren rings for the gold to hit the ground, right? If that is so, there should be no golds dropped after 50 seconds, to allow for the gold to be on the ground for 5 seconds, if there is not a pile underneath it already.

It depends of the maps. It's around 42 seconds to hit the ground. But in some maps, like Noise, Silence or Madness, there are some spots where the Gold directly appears and does not fall from the sky. And for this spots, it's around 31-32 seconds.
