completed Using a game controller to play Tanki

Dear Tanki,

I started playing elite dangerous, It allows me to use a game controller i think its called a xbox one and windows controller. I'm not sure how hard it would be to do this i tried to program it to control my tank like i did to change the configuration of my tank controls on my key board but it would not show that i was hit the controller keys to program my tank so it wont do anything from my controller, so I was wondering if you could make it possible to program it to allow me to use the game controller or if i just need to keep using my keyboard. I'm probably not the only one who would like this. I don't own this xbox thing but its a pretty big brand or something so I'm sure other players probably have one of this controllers and probably find it much easier to control a tank with. I sure found it useful controlling my spaceship in elite dangerous.

I don't like this idea, because using a controller could become either better or worse than keyboard, and the problem is that it will create an imbalance.

 

Unless they separate controller users, just like they should separate mobile users.

I disagree. I have been able to use a controller from an R/C airplane flight sim to play Tanki, binding certain controls to certain keys. It takes a little while to get the hang of, but it bypasses keyboard ghosting issues, and is not better or worse really. It is a hassle to set up though. 

Besides, war thunder has been able to integrate certain PC and Console players.

it won't be easy to Gain the access a Keyboard can give you. Such as

Seeing upgrade rates by pressing R in battle

How will the chat work?

Dualshock 4 would have to be compatible with The TO drive

etc.

my idea might seems strange but long time ago devs added mouse control

what if they put control board like play station, xbox, alot of famous games can be be played with control board

what if tanki make it possible? i think that will be so cool

With the addition of being able to change controls a while back i believe that tanki should be able to be played using a wireless bluetooth game controller like the one shown below and if you simply don't have a game controller that can pair with your computer u can still play tanki online with keyboard/mouse controls.

I have spent an hour trying to setup my ps4 controller to use with DS4Windows and Tanki. it simply wont work properly. Sadly its been years and they haven't done anything about this. They wont do anything about this.
