Yeah, I'm even more convinced that it was a good idea. Tired? No. Just disappointed that it's taking me so long to answer people's questions because unfortunately I've got a ton of other things to do.

Nope, it's not a joke.

 

Even though the rate is the same, you do lose out on the pay for some words, so basically, it is a discount albeit it does not seem to be.

But what I do not understand is, what happened after the rebalance and why did the game become biased towards buyers even though it was not this way earlier.

EDIT: I was not around here at that time so a full m3 garage at major seems like a far-fetched dream.

1. Although as you said I lose out on the pay for some words, I still retain the perception that the base rate remains unchanged. It's quite a weird concept to grasp, but there are many studies that support this approach. I'd quote a couple, but it's outside the scope of this AMA.
2. Honestly, I don't know why you're raising this issue. It's like someone with a regular car racing against a Ferrari and complaining about the race being biased towards the Ferrari owner. The truth is, people who buy crystals inevitably get them faster, and that DOES give them an advantage. It's not the game's fault. It's not even anybody's fault really! I'm not saying you should buy crystals. Just play the game at your own pace and have fun. If you wanna buy crystals, go ahead. If you don't want to buy crystals, you can still get to the Generalissimo rank at your own pace. Nobody's forcing anything down anyone's throat. And it's not fair to resent buyers just because they decided to spend money on a game they enjoy.

game economy is same over different communities, i guess.

It's not just that. The situation with the Ruble is not exactly pleasant. But these matters should not be discussed here.

 

 

the other question was ..could you  let us in on some of your idea's ??.... or how you plan on improving the community ??

 

As I said earlier, I want to start with some of the things that the community seems to be missing the most, and that is regular events, eSports tournaments, and parkour events.

 

But the overall "vision" I have is that of making this community a pleasant and welcoming place to be. And that goes beyond organizing events. It's more about instilling a sense of belonging, and a sense of respect towards each other. It's about stopping this attitude of entitlement that I see in some (a real minority mind you) players, and making everyone understand that we are all guests here, and that we should behave as such.

 

For instance, I wouldn't dare come to your house, kick your cat, insult your children and say your food is disgusting. You'd kick me out within seconds and I would TOTALLY deserve it!

 

And yet, I see a handful of players here taking that exact attitude, shouting "I KNOW MY RIGHTS, I KNOW MY RIGHTS". Yes, players have rights, but they also have obligations. These obligations include being respectful at all times towards everyone in here. And no, just because someone has been disrespectful towards me, doesn't mean I should be disrespectful back. Two wrongs do not make a right.

 

This little "vision" of mine is a long way ahead, but if I manage to get at least half way there before I retire of old age, I'll be super happy  :D

The answer is in the graph right next to the conversion. Imagine if the price for crystals changed every single time the ruble fluctuated... One tanker would spend approximately 3000 rubles one day only to see the price drop to 2600 the next day. That tanker would be very upset that he/she did not wait for one more day and would get mad at Tanki. Now imagine this happening for 1500 tankers and every one got furious at tanki... That's why they do not change the crystal price.

Many of us do these things day to day without putting ourselves out unduly.  In my case I do not have anything to do with XT at all.  I do not see most of these things as achievements.  Acquiring hulls, turrets and Paints is not an achievement in its self, we just buy them with crystals that we have accrued or bought with hard cash.  We earn experience points every day and do most of the things on the list just by playing well or not.  Perhaps gaining rank might be an achievement but everyone that sticks at it will reach the very highest rank, no matter if they are brilliant or not, it will just happen sooner or later depending on a number of variables.

 

Can we think about what are more appropriate and real achievements?  For me real achievement is creating the Wiki pages which have taken up a huge amount of unseen work by a number of practically unseen people.  This is an ongoing phenomenal amount work in progress and creativity. It is involving research, constant checking, refashioning, communicating and designing all to provide us with a fantastic reference work covering  all aspects of Tanki.  I believe that this should be celebrated as real achievement and yet it is largely taken for granted by many of us and perhaps unfortunately not seen by some.  That is real achievement.  Real achievement is providing us with this game and running it.  All the people in the background the moderators and helpers are achievers.  To come half way up to that, for playing a game that we love is a very tall task. 

 

So what are real achievements in the Game?  I like to think of helping people as an achievement but how do we measure that? What is helping? Perhaps we can have more informal helpers to facilitate the smooth legal running of the game.  Trusted players who can be the eyes ad ears of the moderators and other officials.  Perhaps we all should consider voluntarily giving up a small amount of time every now and then if facility were available.  Call it community service.

 

Perhaps improving community spirit needs more community involvement.  If more people were involved in some part of Tanki, then they would have a sense of greater community, they would have a real stake!  It is important to improve the environment and harmony in both game and forum.

We have been complaining for ages that the prices russia pays for their crystals is significantly lower (just a few months ago, the payment system changed and prices the international community shot up for some strange reason). Just because the russian ruble is fluctuating does not mean there needs to be a massive gap between russians and the international community in terms of equality and price, this divide just reduces the games chances from being able to grow a sustainable market outside of russia (which other games have done). I dont know which game just all of a sudden decides to widen the gap between the prices certain foreign players should pay, its a dirty business tactic and not the sort of one any company should adapt to.

oh no, darling, if only you would all stay in RU1... but you've infected tanki, on every server. At every rank. You guys are everywhere. and many of you (not all, but a lot) like to point at different hulls and turrets and label them as "noob" or "pro"... 

Somehow now XP/BP is considered the highest of the highest. Everything else is just lowly and apparently doesn't involve as much skill. Which is a total lie. Yes, hulls and turrets were not created equally, but they should be treated equally. 

 

Mammoth + Railgun could be the best combination for any map... again, depends on how they use it.

I agree that the price disparity between the RU and other communities, is far greater than any currency fluctuation can recently account for.  It is only right that the is also a RU unit of pricing and not just a EU, US currency.  It is not economically good cense because of the present International political situation for anyone in Russia to be buying foreign currency or products at the moment or in the short term.   However I would have thought it beneficial to Russian economy to allow any other external Nationals to buy Russian currency or products.  It simply does not make cense being bared from buying Rubles.  Their may well be Western influences that do not whish us to buy Russian currency or products.  The thing is it is not just the EU and RU that are playing this Game.  What about all the other Nationals?  The economies of some countries is less than Trumps pocket money for example and no matter what the nation, their will be plenty of poor and underprivileged living within them.  On the other hand this a RU game and also most of its developers and owner.  The game is massively subscribed to in Russia.  Perhaps if things were leveled more fairly their would be more EU, US subscribers?  The only other thing might be is, where does the money go?  what Bank in what country.  We assume it goes to RU but it probably goes to some other foreign Tax haven and that all monies including RU goes out of the payees country regardless.  That Russians simply would not pay more especially if it drew attention to authority that larger sums were being exported. 

I am of course hypothesizing!
