1. Many players so far have been interested in buying TO stuff online, like toys, t-shirts, mugs etc. But official store is closed for a long time. Do you know anything about that?

  1. We've tried having a store numerous times, but the logistics are pretty challenging. Our efforts always end up blowing up in our faces. Either the quality is too low, or the service from the outsourced company isn't good enough, or a number of other things. In fact, I was just discussing this with Kasim during our trip.
  2. Unfortunately, I doubt it lol

what players have asked me in the past is how many departments and how many employees in each one .. that work for tanki .. this might help players understand why some of these things are not done faster then in other company's... i hope you understand what i just said..

Is there an issue with those who answer the help@tankionline.com queue? I have been hit with an Anti-Fraud issue (using PayPal) for the 6th time since December. The first 5 times they were very good and expedient in resolving this issue for me - mostly under 50 hours. This problem occurred on the weekend of the 50% MU (July 30-31). It's now been over 10 days and I have sent several inquiries regarding any updates or progress on my issue with absolutely no response from them. Was there a staff reduction in this area which caused a work overload? Is there a technical problem with their help queue? Or did they stop caring altogether? This is frustrating as I had made plans for my clan mates and friends. The more time my issue goes unresolved, the less fun it is becoming.

Yes. But mostly why Anti-Fraud kicks in when I have previously made 7 straight buys in a row for this account spaced 30 minutes apart just before this happened.

From what little knowledge I have of anti-fraud (from when I used to work in customer support in igaming), the automated system usually kicks in if it notices that you've made a number of transactions within a set amount of time. This is because when someone steals a credit card, they usually spend the money on it in this exact same fashion, by making multiple small transactions in rapid succession, to avoid drawing attention or getting caught. Of course, I don't know the exact details of how this works in our company, and even if I did, I wouldn't be able to share them with you, but my explanation should give you a rough idea of how it works.

 

Most importantly, this mechanism is there for your protection, in case someone actually does steal your credit card.

As I already said earlier in the vlog thread, In case regular players win QOTW, please remove the moderator icon besides their nickname otherwise it creates confusion and makes others think that it's always helpers/staff that win QoTW.

There has been a lot of mass-server flooding lately (after the paint update dropped) and people are flooding the lobby on a daily basis (mainly RU1 and often EN3 chats, that's what I know of). And they're causing a lot of disturbance in the lobby. And it seems like the majority of these spammers are getting away with it, unpunished. Is this intentional or we don't have enough chat mods? Pardon me for assuming, but if one of the busiest servers on the game (RU1) gets flooded daily by literally everyone and no one's getting warned/banned then there must be something wrong, eh? I'd like to mention the 2/3 days that followed the paint separation update, there was a complete outrage in the servers which was immediately brought down by chat mods/admins, and after the flooding came back a day or two later... no one got banned?

 

My only question is, why isn't this being stopped?

 

PS: I know the mods are doing their best performing their duty, I'm not going to deny that. I'm just wondering what's going on, and what's the reason behind this.

 

 

Now it's quite difficult for mods to take care of so much flooding but players need to understand that if they constantly flood the chat with worstupdateever; + , it increases the load on the server which in turn results in laggy gameplay in the already overloaded RU1. Then these are the players who also complain about lag.

I do wish people understood client server technology a bit and refrain from indulging in imbecilic practices/trends such as these.

When the paint update dropped, moderators/admins stopped multiple huge mass-floodings in the matter of minutes. And if it's actually difficult for them to stop it, there at least should be people getting banned, right? That isn't the case, usually. People are flooding and no one is getting banned (please understand this is what happens USUALLY, not always). So, logically, this means there isn't a chat mod in the server.

 

It doesn't matter if they understand it or not, they're still flooding. And it's quite annoying since it makes it a bit hard to send-any-message whatsoever, because it somehow adds more time to the chat cool-down.

If Cedric doesn't mind, I'll answer this...

 

Since the introduction of gold that is available for players to drop, some of them use the feature to gain insta-popularity: I'll drop the gold but you gotta beg/chase me for it. Unfortunately, like any fever, this gold one creates much commotion and of course, with so many gold diggers it's hard to control it... 

 

We asked players a lot of times not to start flood and not to ask questions like "who wants gold?", I personally instructed some of them just to post link to the battle with the explanation "gold drop" but they won't listen. Why keeping it simple and civil when you can bask in popularity and being in demand? We recently started banning those who are starting such flood bursts but it's hard to always be present on the server when it happens + we have to focus on much bigger issues on other servers (flood, however much is annoying, isn't exactly a major offence). 

 

The issue is of course reported to Cedric and to developers, so I hope some internal changes regarding this issue will happen. As for us, chat moderators, we understand how annoying it is but again - there is no point baby-sitting bunch of flooders nor running to stop chat every time they appear... we are much more needed elsewhere. Also, since the flood itself is causing destabilization of the server there is no point in applying short-term measures; it's much better for developers to take a look at it and try to figure how to solve the situation with technical means.
