It is not you that people don't trust. There are very vindictive mods here who abuse their power, in spite of what Ostrica says.

I explained million times that there is a system that is in place for years now that prevents moderators to ban anyone just because! We have proper evidence in place - screenshots, videos, logs for every ban... Whoever abuses their power is gonna suffer the consequences and moderators know it. True, mistakes have been made due to human and technical errors but those are just that - mistakes which are easily resolved by admins. Don't make it some crazy conspiracy theory... my colleague and me personally answer hundreds of pm's and complaints and in 98% of the cases bans are justified.

> the mod made not only a mistake.. but acted corrupt (like he was told in chat several times within 10 minutes to kick a mult, but he didn't act)

The problem is that you guys mix different staff groups and their jurisdictions. You cannot ask chat moderator to go and kick a mult because he's not a battle moderator and he doesn't deal with game violations. So it's not like they're corrupted or vindictive, their job is to patrol the chat and help players there, that's what each of them is trained for and what they are supposed to do. Please check info here to know which staff group is in charge of what in Tanki: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showforum=207, or here: http://en.tankiwiki.com/Assistants_of_administration

Let me update my post (red = addons), so it reads more clearly the scenario I had in mind:

> if a tanker complains about a [battle]moderator towards Ostrica

> and it is not fruitfull, but the tanker is sure he the [battle]mod made not only a mistake.. but acted corrupt (like he was told in [battle]chat several times within 10 minutes to kick a mult, but he didn't act)

> should the tanker then involve Cedric, with all the proove he has got (like a full battle video, containing [battle]chatlog and [battle]stats-screens)?

We are not talking about the world here, but about the game. Two VERY different things.

I'm a person with such personality that doesn't allow me to keep my mouth shut. When I see injustice, I react. When I see something that needs fixing, I go for making a solution without even asking for permission. While there are people, that you mentioned, who don't care at all. But there is a third group of people as well. They are people who are aware of everything, yet they want to help ruin it even more.

I'm not saying it's bad to react to problems. But I know that reacting on problems on this game is bringing nothing good to you or anyone who is trying. I wouldn't say this if I wasn't experienced.

And what if I tell you he is right about everything and in this case only you are being blinded?

I talked to him about everything. I've seen some personal screenshots and videos he made as proofs. I've got some myself, keeping them private.

You might have not experienced any injustice in this game, but some of us indeed did. I was a moderator once, remember beaku? I was able to see all the trashy talk in mod group. Mods were showing hate between each others. Some mods just wanted fame, while some mods wanted to change things for real.

Ex mods became EX because of those greedy people. They go to admins and say all kind of lies about us, and of course, admins would believe them. I've lost position because I said truth about my past admin on Skype (rule that is not written anywhere). I remember Semyon saying to me: "I'm sorry, I know you lost your position without a reason, it's unfair, but I have to do it... He told me so".... An admin changed mind of a community manager. So tell me, what are you talking about, beaku? Every moderator in this game is so biased. As well as admins.

I also remember having all chat mods as friends. I once wrote a curse in game chat, and all mods left, so they don't block me. I appreciate this, but they would do the same with every other person who is constantly breaking the rules and who are their friends at the same time.

Don't judge someone for TRYING to make a change. For trying to OPEN your eyes. You are being abusive here, because you know he is helpless at the moment. Desperate to get justice.

I know that you've been part of this game for long and you've been part of Tanki staff too.

But I just wanted to know how many other MMOs have you played except TO?

From my experience of all other MMOs I've played, they're all the same. Though it's shocking to learn that an admin managed to manipulate a CM, it's not surprising. In almost every MMO I've played, I've witnessed such things. Things are still better over here but we must remember something; wherever there's acute hierarchy of power, be it something as big a government or something as insignificant as an MMO, you'll always find power corrupting over a period of time.

I tried to change things in uberstrike but I eventually gave in and I know exactly what it feels like. Over time I have realized that absolutely no MMO is worth the effort one must put in to change things for good and not just TO.

These games are a great place to meet some pretty decent people and I'm grateful to this game which got me some great friends who'll remain with me for a long time to come.

Bottom line: I can safely conclude that no MMO is worth the time. Just enjoy them while they're around.

Well... I'm not saying this game is bad. It's just that policy here is terrible. Biased staff, greedy mods, show off players etc. I've become 'famous' here because I once got banned by Yele for week for protecting myself. While guys who were harassing me got the less period of punishment. I remember making a huge mess because of that. As an apology, Yele wanted me to be a mod. And talked to Semyon about that. I accepted it after some time of thinking and now I admit that it was probably the worst thing I did here. Becoming well known player on this game brought me only haters and envious people, problems... Admins were looking every my step, I couldn't breathe. This is why I stopped liking this game. Many things I succeeded to change, but for many others, they just pushed me away like I'm a simple trash. It's like - Give everything you got, but don't get anything in return, not even appreciation. I lost my nerves.

I admire players who just play and don't care about anything or anyone. They surely are the smartest ones.

coke for you

This topic has already been discussed extensively in other threads.

Actually the devs are working on making the game better. You need to realize that although players have a very important perspective on the game, it is also "very close to the ground". Devs are in a position to see a much more "high level" view of the game, and often the changes they implement make sense over a much longer time span than is immediately evident, and unfortunately the players are not in a "position" to make sense of those changes because their view point is very restricted. I don't say this in a condescending way, mind you. It's just the way things are.

I trust 's judgement. She has proved to me time and time again that she knows what she's doing and that her judgement is fair. Every time a player has come to me contesting one of her decisions, it has always turned out that the player was telling me a half-truth or downright lying. The moment she breaks my trust is the moment she loses it. But that hasn't happened yet, and I doubt it will.

Probably this:

Is this happening also in the downloadable client?

coke for you, but I still don't know how your name is pronounced. See-drik or seh-drik? :S

I'm disappointed with the Battle MOD Yele. I applied for it following the directions exactly and reading all the requirements. Once Yele contacted me, it was like pulling teeth to get her to set up a time for a webcam interview. I know she is busy and has alot on her plate, but I'm talking it took over 10 days to get to a point where I thought we were getting close to scheduling something. BUT - then she asked if I could do 2 Hours per day doing Battle MOD stuff. ( I had already answered that question in the application and said I could do about 7-10 hrs a week.) Once she saw I couldn't do 2 hrs a day she basically said thanks but no thanks. My time was wasted,  and I don't think that was fair. It was NEVER stated anywhere that there was a minimum of 2 hrs per day required. I think to put that requirement on there limits applicants. I've been playing Tanki for well over 2 years and I wanted to give back to the game. I'd be a good worker and do all I can for a Battle MOD. I wanted to try and stop the hackers and cheats that break into the game. I'm not a kid, I'm married with a family and work 50+ hrs a week. I guess my point is she didn't even give me a chance and I think that was a big mistake.

Well, I have to agree that both Chat Mod and Battle mod regulations are extremely strict. A wee bit too strict, if you ask me, but for all practical purposes, it's justified. Battle mods need to be extremely active just like chat mods. On the other hand, I don't understand why minimum time limits are so illogical. What if I do 1 hour on a day but 10 hours on a weekend? Over a long period, isn't me average contribution going to be significant? Something is better than nothing. In any case, if they've made the rule, they must have a good reason for it.

P.S. I was denied too, due to low rank otherwise I could've easily given 3+ hours a day. But, as I said, rule makers must have good reasons for all the rules they make.

To really understand what's happening here, you'd need to step a day into @Yele's shoes. Probably even 2 hours would be enough. Please understand that the battle mod group is an extremely demanding one. Work is tedious, and very few people actually appreciate what you do, so the turnover of people is high. Additionally, the training is very intensive, so every time you train a battle mod and they drop out, it's a HUGE waste of time. @Yele needs to set certain criteria that at least guarantee a candidate's "survivability", otherwise it's not worth wasting the time and energy to train them. can tell you that it's the same with chat mods.

So, please understand that @Yele wasn't trying to fool you or waste your time. It's just that at some point in the process, she realized that your chances of making it as a battle mod were low.

Eh...I have to ask why?

At this Halloween, we had a discount on exclusive premium items. "Golden star" and "Frost" were 31% off. "Golden star" and "Frost" are much more exclusive and expensive than XT's.

I've actually never asked devs why. But I know for a fact they have absolutely no intention of discounting XTs. Sorry  :(

Not sure I understand what you're asking. If you're asking me where to put your reply, there's a link in the very first post of the V-LOG on the forum. There's also the link in the video's description. If you're asking where the actual question is, it's at the end of the V-LOG.

Invite codes for test servers are beardless.

Anyways, what he meant is that invite codes for test server would be useless, and mustn't be given out anyways. The test server is only open to all players when there's mass testing needed.

No point of having a sale on XTs. XTs are made for buyers, and buyers can just buy crystals so they don't need sales. XT M3s are exactly the same strength as normal M3s. The only difference is the appearance.
