What do you mean by sleeping dogs?

It's a saying which actually doesn't apply here. The whole idea behind this topic and complaint book is to allow players to raise their concerns and be satisfied. They're free to pursue the issue if they have legitimate reasons for doing so.

To avoid complaining players putting more workload and complaints on all the hardworking mods, why can't they just hire more? The mods work hard enough but clearly there isn't enough to catch everything that goes on around here.

Applications are always open for you to apply. Need for more mods doesn't mean that people who aren't qualified will be taken in too.

Spy in the sense, who stays in between players, who does not seem like a mod or maybe his language, his views seem exactly as same as a moderator. The spy should not be given any avatar or anything. The section will only know him, like a chat mod spy will be known only to chat mods and admins. That spy will have the strength to ban, to kick, etc. equal to what a chat moderator has. Even, the spy would receive special training, as same as what a chat mod candidate receives. If that happens, if a SPY TEAM is formed, I can be damn sure no problems would arise. None would complain. The players who violate rules will get banned without warnings. Now, I leave it up to our dear Admin . What she decides is gonna be final. I had told her one day, when we met, of a similar idea. She said that she'd consider it. Let's see. I trust and agree to the Management's decision.

Nope. The minimum rank is Second Lieut, for FB mods..I don't think any lower rank is accepted.

it just means that this conversation is going no where now and it should end.. due to the fact that this issue is being dealt with //

 

we all know there are issues with in tanki staff no one is perfect were all human and we all make mistakes .. most of these issues should be dealt with in a private matter instead of pointing out the issues in open chat.. why continue to talk about the same comments .. like i said Mr Debono and Ostrica is now sorting this out in private .. so lets move on to more important issues on hand ..??

It doesn't. I did say 'as long as they have legitimate reasons to'. As Golfinray said above, it was just a question he had as to why mods cannot be given powers everywhere. Now that explanations have been given out, the issue is clear to him. That's what the purpose of discussion is.

I totally agree. I would even suggest to send an electrical charge through the mouse to the violator.

 

If we're going to move into an authoritarian regime, better apply everything which goes along with its ideology.

You remind me my primary teacher. This old bag used to punish everyone involved in an argument. She never cared to know who started to provoke/bully/insult first.

When someone starts provoking first, you should turn around and walk away. That's a mature thing to do. But when someone starts provoking and you insult back and/or do something even worse - that makes you an accomplice. So both of you deserve to be punished.

 

The funniest thing is that all of you are adult people who cannot get ahold of themselves in random online game, quarrelling with random people on the chat over and over again over petty things like who's mult, who got rekt, who's camper etc like those are the most important things in the world. No wonder mods remind you of primary school teachers - you guys behave like primary school kids. Time to start acting like mature people and start ignoring.

Mate, this is a game. People come here to relax and have couple of games or chat a bit. And most of them are minors, not members of criminal organization. Nor we're police. We do not plan to start spying on bunch of kids with "who said what, who did what, yaddayaddayadda"... We're trying to let each and every person having as much fun and space they need, making sure major offenders do not spoil it for them. All while teaching players of various ways to protect themselves too.

 

And all of us do have multiple accounts without powers but they enable us to have an experience of this game like any other player, without the burden of being recognized and judged because we are staff members... we simply wanna have fun & enjoy playing this game like everyone else. Don't makes us robots and spies, please.

I usually answer within several hours unless I'm ill or on vacation. In such cases I usually disable private messages so you cannot even write to me but you can write to my colleague .

I know that chat admins are way better than chat mods but I recently saw in a server chat that your colleague got warned for flood. Explain that.. As I know chat mods and admins are extremely careful..

We have no jurisdiction over antiflood system... it is an automatic system that can warn us just like like any other player if we write too fast. Nothing to do with being "good" or "way better" behaviour. Just with typing speed.

The person who you replied to replied to me. My point was that authoritarian mods are different in different circumstances.  For example, the chat should be less restricted. But the anti-hack system and people watching for hacking should be more harsh.

 

BTW I don't reply off-topic. If I do, why do you always have to answer?  In addition, this exact post I'm quoting is off-topic if anything is.

is that all... i have been waiting for over a month for the forum Admin to even reply ..and i have send many before that  and nothing was replied to .. i even sent them into Mr. Debono to deal with.. due to he was not responding ( the admin )  and i got my answers with in a few days .. way faster then waiting .. i now refuse to send to  admins due to / being blocked or not even bothering to acknowledge any of my posts ...

 

so if you don't get answer in a day or two ...send to top brass you get the results faster ...

My friend wants to play with me and another friend on Tanki Online but he can't play on public servers.  Is there any way to create a private server and keep it for a week or maybe a few weeks?

Few weeks ago I lured an account trader into a 1-1, sweettalked him and received info on 3x account names he has stolen. I uploaded screens, I reported him. That's what happened

• In the end he was just chat-banned and not blocked for stealing and trading multiple accounts.
  Why is the punishment so weak? This was, according to his own words, not just an attempt. He's stolen multiple accounts already, and I received the names of 3 of them.
   
• I was banned too for 24h.
  official reason: because I asked him for an account. Does this make sense?
  I made the report. And sure, I did ask him, but just as I wanted more account names to be locked up.

 

 

 

 

I found someone that offered a high ranked account in the chat. I pretended interrest to lure him into a 1-1 in order to find out more, like account names.

I sweettalked him a little; and pretended he's so cool to be a hacker.. so in the end he told me he how he lures players into giving away their passwords and that he has stolen a major number of accounts from players. I lured him in more, he started to like me, and so he offered me an account for free. He asked me if I want it. Of course I said yes, as I saw the chance to get that account banned and blocked too, so that he can not use ot for trading any more. Maybe it would be even possible to return it to the owner, if the owner reports in.

So I said yes.. I received the pass / user name, I looged in to check if it's true.. few minutes later we said bye.

Uploaded Screens, done the report, results as mentioned.

Actually the moderator that processed my report has already dealt more then 20 complaints that I reported - all positive. He is fast in reaction time, which is cruicial when handling account dealers, and he has no issue with troublesome english. I truely apriciate that work he does.

 

The thing is:

-> he acted according to rules (rules not created by himself of course)

-> And I post here, to question those rules.

 

The punishment is according to rules (he said me that)

That is was punished too, is also according to a rule (because I did something that is - strictly seen - vs the game rules)

:lol:... On a serious note, though, you should be able to realise why the mod did that. If they started sparing people, everyone would use the excuse that 'they were trying to lure the cheater' and get away with it. After all, it's very hard to prove what the intentions were and not worth the time. It's like taking part in a criminal activity and later claiming that you did it with good intentions. What the result is depends upon actions not intentions. As a part of 'luring a violator', you're basically instigating a violation hence you are in the wrong too.

Which planet do you come from?

The screens will just show Blackwasp luring him. They don't show his intentions. Even if it is kinda counter intuitive that Blackwasp would record something that will get him banned, rules don't take that into account (I didn't make them, don't ask me why -_-). And Btw, that's not just true in Tanki but almost all other online communities and even in real life. So, the best way to report a violator is catch him in action without getting involved yourself.
